The Analyzer Maintenance Supervisor will report to the Olefins Maintenance Lead and is responsible for the performance and development of a team of Maintenance Technicians. This position will have accountability for all Analyzer maintenance activities at the Louisiana Integrated Polyethylene Joint Venture site.
A Day in the Life
- Create and support a GoalZERO culture and ensure that projects are executed in a safe and environmentally responsible manner
- Manage all work activities of the technicians & contractors assigned to the Analyzer Supervisor, including approval for employee / contractor time, overseeing material, and managing project costs
- Monitor employee performance, including work quality, time utilization, and behaviors
- Provide clear expectations, feedback, and mentoring to improve individual performance
- Ensure employees complete and submit the appropriate documentation for execution activities
- Manage disputes and provide conflict resolution to achieve timely and constructive solutions to personnel and technical differences
- Investigate and troubleshoot equipment issues
- Implement maintenance best practices in the areas, and adherence to MOWP protocol
- Work closely with the Planning Department to ensure job execution orders are planned appropriately
- Effectively prioritize and manage work activities to optimize time usage
- Coordinate resource planning, schedule team tasks, and create actionable, realistic project plans
- Act as a champion of change, problem solve, and demonstrate excellent technical orientation
- Interact effectively with operations personnel to manage work priorities to meet the business needs
- Utilize feedback from operators and process engineers on analyzer data limits and make adjustments accordingly, based on their recommendation
- Review, update, and maintain analyzer PM calibration records
- Develop analyzer PM plans, work scope, and maintenance intervals
- Support analyzer equipment obsolescence tracking

- Knowledgeable of analyzer maintenance
- Clear understanding of Instrument Maintenance
- Clear understanding of NFPA 70E and Instrument safe work practice
- Ability to coach and provide feedback to achieve performance improvement
- Demonstrated ability to drive quality and efficiency improvements in an organization
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, delegate, and empower others, and be a champion of change
Education and Work Experience
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) with a minimum of 10 years’ hands-on experience in the Instrument Field with an NCCER Certificate (or equivalent) or;
- Associate’s degree with a minimum of 8 years’ hands-on experience in the Instrument Field or;
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years’ hands-on experience in the Instrument Field
- Experience in supervising maintenance crafts or coordination of maintenance contractors is required
Preferred Work Experience
- LKO site specific experience is preferred
Languages
- English, additional language preferred
Other skills
- Effective leadership skills
- Computer skills; Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.
- An understanding of Prometheus and P6 scheduling software is preferred
