Turnaround Construction Manager, Germany (m/f/d)

The position is part of Global Engineering & Turnaround (GE&T). The Global Engineering & Turnaround organization oversees the preparation and execution of turnaround events globally. In this role, you will lead early preparation activities, staffing preparation and field execution for assigned turnaround events in Germany.
Day in the Life:
- Coordinate planning and scheduling activities until T-6 with support from the EU Planning and Scheduling Manager.
- Provide leadership to enable the organization to achieve GoalZERO HSE performance.
- Lead the development and implementation of turnaround execution strategies and best practices.
- Lead and participate in constructability reviews and schedule optimization activities.
- Develop staffing plans for the pre-turnaround and execution phases based on planned man-hour estimates and contractor requirements and input.
- Lead training and onboarding activities for the execution team.
- Be accountable for all maintenance field activities related to the turnaround and associated capital projects.
- Communicate effectively across all organizational levels to build support and remove obstacles.
You Bring This Value:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or a related technical field preferred or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in a process plant or comparable environment required.
- At least 10 years of turnaround and/or project experience and 5 years of management experience strongly preferred.
- Construction management expertise, including detailed knowledge of craft and quality assurance practices.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage people and multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting and continuous improvement skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts and issues at all levels, from craft personnel to executive leadership.
- Strong leadership, mentoring and teamwork skills, including the ability to transfer technical expertise to less experienced turnaround professionals.
- Administrative expertise and sound organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and SAP; understanding of field execution for petrochemical turnarounds; knowledge of basic Primavera scheduling practices preferred.
- Willingness to travel approximately 20% within the EU and to accept short-term assignments outside the home area to support turnaround execution.

Compensation Disclosure:
- The compensation and reference to benefits for this role is listed on this posting in compliance with applicable law. Please note that the compensation and benefits listed below are only applicable for Germany payroll offers.
- The anticipated salary range for a full-time position is 92.640 - 127.380 Euro. The starting compensation will be determined based on skills, experience and qualifications.
