Consultant, Sustainability Procurement Capability Building (m/f/d)

LyondellBasell is advancing  its sustainability commitments, program execution and visibility with ambitious corporate sustainability strategies and targets. The role of a Consultant Sustainable Procurement for Learning is a role created to support the newly formed Sustainable Procurement organization and is critical for the successful delivery of LYB’s commitments to drive positive impact on the value chain and environmemt. This position acts as a Consultant to the Sustainable Procurement Team as part of Global Procurement Strategic Materials & Sustainable Solutions. It reports to the Senior Manager Global Sustainable Procurement.

 

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

    • Assess the Sustainabiltiy training needs of LYB procurement functions and its suppliers in close collaboration with the Sustainable Procurement Ambassadors
    • Implement purposefull training and development plans, and facilitate training programs that accelerate sustainability capabilities of the LYB workforce and suppliers
    • Develop Supplier Development Framework and learning path for suppliers which should be embedded into the supplier evaluation cycle
    • Deliver engaging and inspiring sustainability related learning content
    • Regular review of external training resources (Together for Sustainability, Ecovadis etc.)
    • Close collaboration with the Global Learning Team to ensure that global learning standards will be applied and new ones explored
    • Work collaboratively across global functions to secure consensus from senior leaders and their teams to embed sustainability into their ways of working
    • Deliver engaging communication with internal partners, and suppliers

 

 

Qualifications

    • Graduate / Business or Engineering School or MBA
    • Min. 5-7 years work experience in Industry and/or consulting industry
    • Fluent in English both verbal and written
    • Excellent research skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
    • Sustainability expertise or knowledge
    • Experience with or interest in building and engaging a community – leadership skills, great communication, clarity of thought
    • Collaborative approach to working with colleagues in other departments and from partner organisations -promoting discussion, dialogue and cooperation
    • Excellent communication and consulting skills
    • Comfortable and confident liaising with key stakeholders across various levels
    • Mission driven and wants to flourish in a global team working at the leading edge of sustainability.
