For our German sites in Wesseling near Cologne  we are looking for a

 

 

Communications Advisor (m/f/d)

 

 

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Thorough knowledge of corporate communications operating within a Corporate Affairs department
  • Lead the development and execution of communications plans in Germany
  • Create content for various communications channels (e.g. regional newsletters, Elements, LYB.com, social media and LYB content hub)
  • Contribute to the alignment and information sharing among the Corporate Affairs team about new messaging, resources, upcoming events/ activities, etc. 
  • Understand the vision of management and clients
  • Serve as a project owner, executing campaigns and projects as assigned with a degree of skill and professionalism
  • Possess initiative to think several steps ahead and anticipate needs of clients / stakeholders and management
  • Create and maintain communications resources and toolkits including but not limited to key message documents, power point presentations and training materials
  • Communicate proactively with Corporate Affairs, business colleagues and functional teams on upcoming communications to ensure awareness and alignment among all stakeholders
  • Represent the company with the utmost integrity and abides by the LyondellBasell Code of Conduct
  • Review documents and language from other functional areas where applicable (e.g., external, marketing communications, internal) for accuracy and consistency
  • Actively participates and communicate new ideas, innovative methods and/or tools to communications leadership team
  • Responsible for responding and/or escalating client / stakeholder requests for support and follow through to close out

 

Qualifications

  • Successfully completed bachelor's degree in communication sciences or a comparable qualification
  • More than 8 years’ experience in Communication or related field
  • Fluent in German and English to have the ability to translate documents from English to German with proficiency
  • Demonstrate strong skillset in internal and external communication
  • Must demonstrate solid interpersonal communication and presentation skills, both oral and written
  • Displays resilience in tacking opportunities and challenges of the job
  • Solid collaboration and listening skills and the ability to work within and across functions
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment while maintaining work focus despite challenges or setbacks
  • Possess a solution-oriented approach
  • Command of AP Style, while displaying strong and efficient writing competencies across digital and print platforms
  • Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, including ability to engender trust, respect and confidence
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and manage sensitive materials
  • Good judgement with the ability to work effectively under pressure, constantly adjusting priorities as circumstances change
