BASIC FUNCTION
- Ensure each shift complies with HSE regulations and site rules, supporting achievement of the Goal Zero target.
- Ensure smooth line operations while maintaining production machines.
- Manage and control production activities to meet customer requirements for quality, quantity, and delivery, while maintaining high plant safety standards and promoting employee awareness in coordination with other departments.
- Maintain and continuously improve individual and departmental KPIs month over month.
- Execute process orders, manage inventory, and perform required cross-checks.
- Conduct team training based on the skill matrix and identified gaps.
- Ensure adherence to QMS, EMS, and GMP requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Adhere to HSE regulations during daily shift operations by right use of Personal Protective Equiment (PPE)'s, reporting near miss and Behaviour Based Safety (BBS) to support Goal Zero target.
- Should follow and implement the permit system as per the company Operation Excellence (OE) standard.
- Production activities should be performed according to Production Planning and Delivery Schedule (PPDS) to achieve ontime delivery of finished goods.
- Follow and maintain line processing condition with Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and report any deviations or corrections on time to time.
- Ensure zero customer complaints through producing defect free products, monitor and measure parameters, report any abnormalities with corrective action or root cause analysis (RCA) and resolve with the help of production supervisor and meet the On-Time In-Full (OTIF) target.
- Supporting in reduction of Scrap and Off spec generation by optimizing process and changes required, tracking daily scrap, rework and downtime, reconcialiation of material as per process order (PO) and report to supervisor/manager and seek guidance if required.
- Execute production changeover activties safely with effective plan to reduce process downtime and training to team to imrpove productivity.
- Upkeep and timely maintenance of production main and downstream equipments, support in identifying CAPEX projects / debottlenecking with help of Supervisor/Manager, Initiate and anticipate for Management of Control (MOC) need and complete all actions on time.
- Handling of finished goods with proper packaging and labeling, manage shop floors with right material to deliver, work closely with Logistics and QA to avoid any customer complaint.
- Responsible to update daily, weekly and monthly reports to maintain the documentation and validate data each month for correct reporting on time.
- Maintain housekeeping, dust reduction drive and 5S, operation clean sweep (OCS) drive and support LEAN methodology.
- Support to other site functions like Maint. QA, Logistics, PAD for new product development.
- Maintain material handling equipment to ensure smooth material transfer.
- Assist Production Supervisor / Production Manager to maintain all Standards like ISO 9001,14001,GMP.
- Support in value creation (Value Enhancement Program) and Lean initiatives to improve profitability.
- Maintain all data with confidentiality as per LYB Data privacy and retention policy.
QUALIFICATION
Diploma / Degree in Plastic Technology or Plastic Processing & Testing from reputed college or university
WORK EXPERIENCE
7 to 9 years from color masterbatch or compounding industry with hands on experience on extrusion lines and allied equipment. Knowledge of extruder operations and trouble shooting, product corrections and adjustments, feeders operations along with environment control equipment such as DCS/FES etc and utility.
