Announcement

In June 2025, LYB announced entering into an agreement and exclusive negotiations for the sale of four olefins & polyolefins sites and the associated business in Europe. The sites to be sold are located in Berre (France), Münchsmünster (Germany), Carrington (UK), and Tarragona (Spain). The sites together represent a scaled olefins and polyolefins platform strategically located in proximity to a longstanding customer base and with access and connectivity to key infrastructure. 
Closing of the proposed transaction is currently expected in the first half of 2026. From the start, the new company will be a scaled leader in European Olefins & Polyolefins. Powered by strategically located assets, a diverse product portfolio, and operational excellence, it aims to transform the business, fostering an agile, entrepreneurial culture where fast decision-making and hands-on collaboration drive transformation and growth.  

 

Are you ready?
You will be crucial to a successful transition and, when the sale is closed, success of the new company. You will become part of a new dynamic organization with around 1,800 employees, headquarters in Rotterdam and production sites in France, Germany, UK and Spain with a strong focus on customer excellence.

This is the role

You implement HR programs and policies, manage Industrial Relations, deliver HR services to employees and supervisors, and ensure compliance with local legal requirements while aligning HR strategy with company targets. 

Responsibilities

  • Work with the local management team in the headcount planning;
  • Manage and participate in the recruitment processes and in the internships programs implementation;
  • Implement organization development and/or restructuring plans when needed; 
  • Coach line managers in HR topics;
  • Manage relationship with works councils and trade unions and acting as the first point of contact for employees for all HR topics;
  • Focal point of Competence process at site level (Manage training plan, organize internal/external trainings, manage attendance and evaluation sheets, manage the training records for each employee);
  • Act as the lead person for the implementation of global HR policies and programs at the country level in the followed specialist fields (Recruitment, Remuneration, Performance Management, Learning & Development & Resourcing & Talent);
  • Support Total Rewards in the implementation and management of remuneration and benefits;
  • Performance Management, employees development, training and career plans;
  • Manage HR budget;
  • Key user of the Pro time management system;
  • Drive the department activities aligned with all applicable legal and corporate rules;
  • Manage the absence management.

This is what you bring

  • University degree and postgraduates studies in HR;
  • Desirable 7-10 years working experience in HR;
  • Industrial / Employee relationships experience;
  • Knowledge of Protime management is a plus;
  • Fluent English and Spanish level.
