Basic Function

As a member of our Global Total Rewards team, you will evaluate and implement compensation and benefits plans, policies, and procedures to meet business objectives and competitive practices. You will provide compensation and benefits guidance and support to regional Human Resources Business Partners and management. You will be the Subject Matter Expert for the APAC/AFMEI locations. While this position focuses on the APAC/AFMEI region, you will also assist on projects that are global in nature and provide Compensation and Benefits support for other regions as needed. 

Roles & Responsibilities

•    Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures. Recommend revisions to existing plans as well as develop new plans that are cost effective and consistent with compensation trends in the market and corporate objectives.  
•    Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of existing supplemental employee benefits programs by working with insurers or brokers.
•    Complete job evaluation and pricing requests using general and industry-specific competitive market data. 
•    Research and complete compensation and benefits surveys for the region. Maintain knowledge of regional compensation and benefits trends. 
•    Manage the annual Compensation cycle activities and the annual Employee Benefits renewals for the region in close cooperation with the Global team. 
•    Counsel Human Resources colleagues, management, and employees on compensation and benefits issues; applying high customer satisfaction standards.
•    Work with external vendors in a professional manner. Research and recommend vendor relationships that would be beneficial to Human Resources and the organization. 
•    Maintain knowledge of regional compensation and benefits laws and regulations to ensure compliance. Abide to all reporting requirements of all relevant government rules and regulations.  

Personal Specification

Relevant Experience/Education
•    A Bachelor’s degree is required and a specialized degree in Human Resources Management is preferred 
•    At least 10 years of relevant regional compensation and benefits experience in a multinational environment 
•    Understanding the strengths and limitations of market data and applying judgement as to the appropriate use 
•    Strong analytical skills and advanced Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint skills
•    Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English
•    Ability to interface effectively with Human Resources colleagues and management
•    Ability to work on multiple, diverse projects in a fast-pace environment
•    High level of business acumen and problem solving ability to develop business focused solutions
•    Results oriented; combining a can-do attitude with a collaborative orientation 
•    Embracing the cultural differences that exist across the region and adapting appropriately
•    Since this is an individual contributor position, the full cycle of activities needs to be performed: starting from the defining the problem, then working closely with the stakeholder to analyze the data and develop recommendations, and finally articulating the solution/recommendation to the business and HR leadership
