Cash Manager, Asia

Basic Function

This position contributes to all aspects of ensuring efficient banking structures and to support Treasury Operations across APAC & AFMEI region with banking services and other Treasury processes.  Primary responsibilities include bank account maintenance, support treasury system implementation, daily cash & liquidity management throughout LYB owned bank accounts and entities and FX hedging activities.  This position will also drive the standardization and alignment of APAC Regional Treasury’s processes with the Group’s processes and policies.
The position communicates frequently with a broad range of internal stakeholders  such as Finance teams, IT department, Legal and also Treasury Operations Teams in U.S. and Europe, but also with external counterparts such as the banks, auditors, etc  
 

Roles & Responsibilities

Treasury Operations 
•    Efficiently managing the cash liquidity in APAC and AFMEI regions
•    Prepare short term cash flow forecasts; 
•    Proactively working with the business to improve treasury support and banking solutions provided 
•    Invest excess liquidity, when and as needed
•    Monitor Petty Cash balances in the region 
•    Handle treasury related transactions including but not limited to inter-company fund transfer and loan administration, for all entities for both regions of APAC & AFMEI
•    Identify FX exposure for all currencies in the region and formulate hedging transactions as per LYB global FX policy in alignment with Group’s Financial Risk Management team
•    Lead any dividend distributions / excess fund repatriation process together with the Internal finance team
•    Monitor and track transactional banking fees for all cash; trade and FX related activities with LYB banks
•    Issue Bank Guarantees
•    Resolve trade issues escalated from Supply Chain or Customer Service teams
•    Support Treasury Insurance team with ad-hoc requests
•    Prepare ad-hoc reports and presentations

Banking Administration
•    Manage bank account administration including opening and closing of bank accounts, update bank signatories, KYC process for both regions of APAC & AFMEI in accordance with LYB policy
•    Administer regional and global bank account platforms and review the reporting on access rights to these systems in conjunction with the regional & global Treasury Operations team.  
•    Execute routine bank account audits for bank accounts 

IT/Systems
•    Represent Asia Treasury team as “Subject-Matter-Expert” on system enhancement & implementation with Treasury Management System in SAP 
•    Coordinate and potentially perform SAP UAT testing
•    Work with LYB’s banks group and LYB Europe & US Treasury Operations teams in System Implementation and e-banking systems support 

Process Documentation/Audit Support
•    Keep up to date with region’s specifics all documentation related to processes, policies and work instructions of the Group  
•    Drive automation in processes and systems
•    Support routine treasury operation & ad hoc assignments 
•    Support the internal and external audit process, as needed.
 

Min. Qualifications

Education:
1.    Bachelor’s degree required, with a major in Business, Accounting, Finance or similar field preferred.

Work Experience: 
1.    Minimum 6 years of experience in Corporate Treasury; preferably with a multinational company.
2.    Solid experience in Trade Finance (Bank Guarantees, Letter of Credit’s, Supply Chain Finance Program, etc)
3.    Knowledge of banking and experience with Treasury Management Systems, preferably SAP Treasury.
