Sr. Sourcing Specialist, Utility

Basic Function

This is a key position within APAC Raw Material & Utilities Procurement Department of LyondellBasell with high visibility across LyondellBasell’s APAC divisions and organizations. 
Supports category managers in the implementation of sourcing plans and tactics to effectively manage the assigned portfolio and associated activities.
Understands the APAC country electricity and other utilities market. Work closely with APS site define electricity/ Natural gas and other industry gas sourcing strategy and purchasing operation.  
Manages effective internal client and supplier relationships up to the senior level.
Contributes to the implementation and continuous improvement of procurement processes, procedures and systems through written policies, procedures, training, and effective measures consistent with internal controls.

Roles & Responsibilities

•    Creates value by providing appropriate input into the development and implementation of sourcing strategies, function/business specific related agreements and related work processes in accordance with the global strategy.
•    Define APAC Re-newable engnery sourcing strategy which co-ordinate with APAC site and global utilities procurement team. 
•    Follow up APAC country and local renewable energy policy which APS site located to define best fit solution drive productivity. 
•    Work with APAC site and global team define best solution on green electricity sourcing and contract negotiation.
•    Work closely with APAC site for routing energy sourcing contract negotiation to drive productivities.   
•    Analyzes bid responses to determine the most responsive and responsible bidder to optimize total cost of ownership for the internal client.
•    Begins to independently manage sourcing projects with increasing complexity and medium value.
•    Executes procurement sourcing strategies in-line with overall functional and/or corporate objectives.
•    Analyzes spend/data/trends to identify and develop overall strategic sourcing initiatives which meet the needs of the customer and provides solutions/recommendations to the Category Manager based on research of institutional spend, end-user impact, feedback and marketplace analysis
•    Articulates LYB procurement policies and standards. Encourages and enforces compliance. Answers inquiries requiring interpretation of policies and contributes to a strong governance culture by complying with appropriate governance policies and procedures.
•    Promotes excellent working relationships with internal customers and other supporting organizations.
•    Ensures that business drivers, departmental goals and measures are aligned.

Min. Qualifications

•    Bachelor's degree required (or recognized equivalent).
•    5+ years experience required in chemical or related industry combined with MRO and utilities purchasing and materials management strategy / contract management
•    Negotiations and contract experience required
•    Familiar with SAP operation
