Basic Function

The Procurement Analyst supports the APAC Procurement Department deliver value to LYB.  The position ensures all formula prices are accurately calculated and trended and assists with price negotiations on an as-needed basis.

This position will ensure the calculation is value delivered (TSV) is consistently calculated and communicated to all stakeholders.

This position assists with the implementation of the various global Procurement processes and tools throughout the APAC region.  One implemented, this roll will calculate and track department KPI’s to monitor effective department performance.

This position will coordinate with similar Analyst elsewhere within Procurement (with the US and EU) to ensure consistency.

The position requires interaction with various functional groups throughout the APAC region including the O&P, I&D and APS businesses, Finance, Supply Chain and Manufacturing. This interaction will provide excellent exposure to various levels within multiple departments within the company.

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide support for GPU activities in the APAC and AFMEI region including the following and any additional activities assigned by the supervisor:

  • Maintain master database of all formula prices
  • Provide formula price analysis to support price negotiations on an as-needed basis
  • Create and distribute the monthly Raw Material price trend report
  • Be the Total Secured Value (TSV) value steward
  • Create and distribute the monthly TSV report
  • Support the implementation of Process & Tools in the region (helps develop procedure and work instructions when they do not already exist, helps develop training materials and communication materials, helps determine what local procedures must be modified or deleted )
  • Tracks APAC Procurement’s KPI’s. Responsible for collecting the data in an accurate and timely manner and sharing the information with management. Investigate any deviations. 
  • Track all Internal Audit Action Plans to ensure completion
  • Participates on the establishment and sustainment of the APAC Raw Material Risk Profile Management system
  • Assist in creating the monthly/quarterly APAC Procurement report
  • Support to Procurement management team preparing business review reports and presentations for LYB Leadership Team
  • Assist with the SAP implementation at all legacy-Schulman locations within Asia
  • Perform spend analytic on off-contract/ tail spend
Min. Qualifications

Education:

  1. University degree
  2. MBA preferred

Work Experience:

  1. At least 6 years of experience in the petrochemical industry
  2. Combined experience in commercial, technical, manufacturing, engineering and/or project management roles is a plus

  • English – strong English skills are necessary
