Quality Manager APAC/AFMEI

Basic Function

The purpose of the job is the development and continual improvement of the Corporate Quality and ISCC+ Management Systems in order to continuously increase customer satisfaction by improved quality of products and services delivered. 

Roles & Responsibilities

Job scope differentation is applied and relates to the level of job expertice, level of corporate expertice and level of required coaching for the incumbent. 

•    Defines the development of continual improvement processes of the Corporate Quality and ISCC+ Management Systems, processes and procedures in EAI for all businesses, where relevant aligned globally and with relevant HSE Standards in order to reduce complexity and to provide consistency of LYB Management Systems.

•    Represents the customer voice on quality of processes and products inside the company supporting the continuous improvement of customer satisfaction (Customer satisfaction surveys and customer scorecards).

•    Is the independent Quality expert towards the customer, business divisions and senior management in order to support LyondellBasell departments on Quality related topics towards internal and external customers.

•    Increases Quality awareness at all levels in all LyondellBasell divisions and drives for continuous improvement through improved processes and Quality projects in line with external standards (ISO/IATF) in order to contribute to continuous development of improved Quality of products and services.

•    Develops, harmonizes and improves complaint management systems and processes and coordinates translation into related electronic tools in order to get the issues of external and internal customers solved and to improve the effectiveness of complaint handling. 

•    Plans, executes and ensures follow-up on internal Quality and or ISCC+ audits. Provides comprehensive reports on audit results identifying weaknesses and recommending actions for improvement in order to ensure compliance with existing Quality Management System, identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions also in case of non-conformities. 

•    Plans, supports and ensures follow-up on external certification audits for Quality according ISO-9001, IATF-16949, ISCC+ and supports the coordination of Environmental audits according ISO14001. Consults businesses on introduction of other Quality standards in order to achieve certifications as required by our customers and in line with business, market and legal requirements.

•    Provides Quality reports covering complaints, Quality/ ISCC+ audits, customer surveys and Management Reviews in order to report on effectiveness of the Quality and ISCC+  Management System, highlight issues and develop corrective actions.
 

Min. Qualifications

Education:
•    Bachelor or master’s degree in business or technical area.

Work Experience: 
•    Minimum four-year college education or, alternatively 8 - 10 years of experience Quality Management in an international Business and/or Manufacturing environment.
•    Fundamental knowledge of quality techniques, methods and standards (e.g. ISO-9001, IATF-16949), including:
o    Auditor experience in relevant Quality standards.
o    Practical experience in applying problem solving techniques (root cause investigation, implementation of corrective actions and QC effectiveness)
o    Performing statistical analysis to unveil areas for continual improvement.
o    Experience in ISCC+ scheme is a plus.

Licenses & Certifications:
•    Quality Management and Quality Auditor according ISO-9001 and IATF-16949
•    Training on ISCC+ is required

Skills:
•    Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, Standards and Auditing.
•    Presentation skills 
•    Negotiation skills (preparation, strengths and weaknesses analyses, customer support).
•    Planning capability and project management skills together with organized time management.
•    Analytical skills in combination with problem solving skills.

•    English
•    Mandarin when based in APAC region
•    One or more other European/Asian language
