Marketing Manager, Film, Textile Therm

Basic Function

Supporting Asia Marketing Manager in development, implementation of market, product and pricing strategies which create market value and capture the maximum potential in the relevant market segments in China.

Primary responsibility includes structuring and driving market and product optimization initiatives in close collaboration with the customer management team, ADTSI, planning and supply source interfaces, with alignment and goals set by Asia Marketing Manager.

Roles & Responsibilities

-    Work closely with Customer Management Team and own connections with market players to collect, analyze and translate market intelligences to strategies and action for capturing opportunities and mitigating threats to BAP businesses.. 
-    Propose and execute the approved China Marketing Strategies for the relevant segments with region specific and supply source specific elements fully aligned BAP’s long term business strategies
-    Analyze supply and demand dynamics’ impact on local price and make recommendation to Asia Marketing Managers for pricing strategy formulation and execution.
-    Review LYB’s demand and supply position as well as  regional premium for proposing and monitoring volume allocations
-    Manage marketing projects including but not limited to promotion, market study,  product development and launching project, and deliver results timely. 
-    Monitor customer trial progress together with ADTS and Account Managers, e.g. sample approval, trial time line and results and follow up.
-    Organize different database and prepare regular reports for management decision

Personal Specification

Education:
University degree or equivalent, science or engineering curriculum preferred.
Basic IT capabilities (e-mail, SAP R3, EXCEL, WORD, POWERPOINT).


Work Experience:
Minimum 10 years experience in marketing, sales, ADTS or asset management position
Good technical understanding of polyolefins products and applications an advantages

Functional Competencies/Skills
Demonstrated ability in preparation of marketing plans from analysis through to implementation.
Understanding of LyondellBasell’s core technologies, products and customer portfolio. 
Technology skills (production-plants, process, applications, products, asset footprint).
Relevant industry know-how to manage business strategies successfully.
Negotiations skills (preparation, strengths &weakness analyses, customer support).


Languages:
1.    Fluent Chinese and English
2.    High proficiency in English writing
