IT Product Analyst

Basic Function

The Product Analyst is a key position in the discovery and delivery of business solutions from information technology. She or he will be the IT liaison to business leaders focusing on sales, marketing, business service and supply chain; leading the delivery of IT projects and services especially in the area of digital marketing, B2B, eCommerce and customer excellence. She or he also assists in the development of the business case to justify the new investment; anticipate future business needs/trends in the region and provide valuable input for the development of IT/digital strategies that drive business growth, improve customer experience and simplify supply chain operation processes.

Through continuous consultation with the functional areas, the Product Analyst has a deep understanding of business operations and is capable of articulating solutions in business terms and not technical jargon. She or he will also coordinate internal and external IT team globally to ensure the timely response and resolving of IT issues and problems in the region.

Roles & Responsibilities

Specific areas of responsibility and influence include: 

•    Liaison with Asia business leaders in the area of sales, marketing, business service and supply chain to understand new requirements, gaps and issues, then advise “speed to value” IT solution or actions to business.
•    Take the ownership of building and strengthening the relationships with business team within the supported areas. 
•    Collaborates locally and globally with stakeholders to drive IT initiatives/projects especially in the area of digital marketing, B2B, eCommerce and customer excellence.  
•    Develop business cases, considering financial, resource, and technological constraints in consultation with business and IT stakeholders.
•    Anticipate future business needs/trends in the region and provide valuable insights/inputs for the development of IT/digital roadmaps and strategies within the supported areas. 
•    Lead the project initiating activities including high level budget, resource and timeline planning for regional projects.
•    Engage internal or external resources for the project execution as need.
•    Oversee and lead the delivery of enhancement and projects. 
•    Coordinate with internal and external IT team to ensure the timely response and resolving of IT issues and problems in the region.
•    Consults with the clients on appropriate change management activities to achieve organizational readiness for the implementation of changes.
•    Demonstrates leadership by coordinating the requirements, specifications, and user testing efforts.
•    Create business value for Asia Pacific by effective use of regional and global IT assets.
•    Participate actively in global projects, effective in supporting Global Leads to gather regional requirements, design business solution, conduct testing, and lead the rollout for Asia Pacific.

Personal Specification

Required experience, skills, professional attributes and qualities include the following:
•    At least 6 to 8 years of business partnership experience supporting business and commercial leadership with increasing levels of responsibility.  
•    Proven track record in successfully leading the implementation of digital marketing, eCommerce and other digitalization platforms/solutions. 
•    Experience in IT business relationship management especially in the area of sales, marketing, business and customer service.
•    Digital technical depth in social media tools, B2B, eCommerce, cloud and ecosystem platforms.
•    Knowledgeable of new digital technologies and tools. Has the ability to quickly assess, lead, monitor and deliver digital solutions.
•    3+ years of project management experience, ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
•    Experience in digital/software projects using Agile / Lean techniques and methodologies.
•    Experience with ERP/SAP system will be a plus.
