Basic Function

The purpose of the job is to execute G/L accounting, month-end closing process and assist FM in managing daily accounting activities for two legal entities in Shanghai. In this role, you will have primary responsibility for bookkeeping, including expenses check and accruals, inventory adjustment entry, FX manual adjustment and cost reconciliation etc. You will play the role of coordinator with local departments and some corporate functions.

Roles & Responsibilities

1.    Responsible for weekly payment review, General Ledger accounting to to ensure the compliance with company and local policy 
2.    Prepare monthly statutory reports and other required group reports accurately and timely 
3.    Perform and review monthly balance sheet accounts reconciliations per SOX requirement
4.    Ability to recognize unusual transactions, trends or variances, and communicate findings to team leaders  
5.    Support the preparation of department budget 
6.    Work with treasury, tax and other corporate functions to support local bank, tax issues and provide data for analysis 
7.    Assist internal/external audits relating to GL and other SOX requirements, and support annual tax filings 
8.    Provide continuous support in setting up controls on finance operating procedures
9.    Assist Sr Finance Manager with ad hoc tasks as assigned

Personal Specification

•    Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance or related discipline

Work Experience: 
•    At least 6 years’ relevant experience in finance and accounting area
•    Working experience in a multinational company environment, with ability to operate in diverse cultures

Licenses & Certifications:
•    professional accounting certification such as Certified Public Accountant / Charted Accountant is preferred
