Senior Operations Planner

Basic Function

•    Produce and execute Volume Operating Plan to support business plan of selling MTBE into Asia markets to generate revenue and profits for the company
•    Responsible for Product Sourcing associates with demand plan, Inventory Management and Order Fulfilment for MTBE sales in Asia
•    Provide support to logistics operation function and manage logistics vendors service for MTBE distribution in Asia
•    Interface between supply sources and commercial team on MTBE supply, replenishment and distribution to conduct timely delivery scheduling for customer orders in accordance with sales plan
•    To provide professional, efficient and timely customer service to customers, customer management team, suppliers and other stakeholders for the complete order-to-cash process.

Roles & Responsibilities

•    Formulate monthly volume operation plan to integrate demand and supply volume with inventory level evaluation to identify any short-fall or excess supply which requires for timely decision from business on product allocation or demand enrichment. 
•    Ability to mitigate risk of supply disruption during plant planned/unplanned outage by taking scenario planning to shift sourcing, swap or purchase option to balance commercial priorities and supply constraints.
•    Execute volume operation plan to process intercompany purchase orders, customer drop-shipments and nomination of vessels lifting from supply regions.
•    Responsive to sales plan changes with timely action taken to adjust replenishment to ensure inventory balance is under control
•    Work and coordinate with Logistics Operations Manager to ensure appropriate logistics infrastructure is in place in time to support business plan
•    Manage logistics vendors to conduct timely service on bulk vessel nomination and terminal pipeline scheduling for stock re-distribution for adherence to sales plan
•    Collaborate across logistics services providers including terminal, vessel owners/broker and surveyor to conduct inbound and outbound operations according to company logistics operations standard  
•    Manage the third-party terminal to provide timely and accurate reporting on inventory movement of inbound, outbound via pipeline transfer and bulk vessel loading 
•    Accountable to communicate with diverse contact of external stakeholders (logistics services providers and customers) to develop effective partnership in meeting customer service level
•    Explore opportunities with cost saving incentive through product swap/exchange with co-producers 
•    Deliver highest quality service to customers in Asia by handling customer requests in a timely and professional manner.  Ensures long term value creation for the company while increasing customer satisfaction.
•    Responsible and accountable for the resolution of order-to-cash process problems and effective communication to all involved parties.
•    Coordinate with customer, Terminal and surveyor if any to ensure smooth deliveries.
•    To meet month end cut off invoicing and inventory update.
•    Respects all policies and procedures and proactively “lives” them.
•    Participate in Internal and External audits.
•    Capable to serve strategic and important customers i.e. global accounts or distribution.
•    Check accuracy of Customer Master Data in the SAP system in liaison with Master Data Focal point.  Accurate data in SAP ensure correct deliveries, invoicing and communication.
•    Handles and resolves customer complaints in a tactful and professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction consistent with LyondellBasell’s guidelines.
•    Monitors payments and where necessary, supports Finance with the scanning of documents to AP for payment.  
•    Ensures mutual exchange of information between customers, sales and other internal departments (incoming orders, lost orders, outstanding payments, complaints, and special incident).

Personal Specification


Education: 
University / college degree preferably in economics, business administration or relevant discipline of finance or supply chain

Work Experience: 
•    Minimum 10 years experiences working in multi-national company in several Supply Chain functions (customer service, shipping, distribution, procurement)
•    Knowledge of international trade or supply chain functions preferably on Logistics Operations Procedures
