EHS Manager

Basic Function

To create a Culture of Excellence in Safety, Health and Environment through the intelligent standardization of Safety Systems and Programs in the Region to contribute to the establishment of a suitable work environment that will enable us to eliminate or reduce accidents. Ensure compliance with Local and Corporate Legal Requirements for companies to be within a legal framework: Paperwork, Permits, Updates, third Party Audits.

Min. Qualifications

Engineering, Master level (Desirable)

Industrial, Chemical, Environmental Specialist, (similar).

KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING

Desirable: Local regulations regarding EHS, Procedures to accomplish obligations with EHS authorities Interpretation of the ISO 14001 norms OHSAS 18000, Risk analysis and identification regarding Safety and environmental aspects or impacts, accidents investigations methodology tools, root-cause analysis, LOTO, NFPA norms, ergonomics norms and best practices, Manufacturing process, office, fluent English, minimum 5 years in a similar position.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Develop and disseminate the EH&S Strategy for the Region to serve as a guide for the implementation of Programs in each company.
- Support in the maintenance of Certifications and Programs of the Companies in the Region such as: Clean Industry, Safe Industry, ISO 14000, OHSAS 18000, Etc.
- Encourage EH&S best practices to be shared and implemented throughout the region as applicable to copy models that have been successful in other Group Plants.
- Ensure compliance to Training Programs and share EH&S training material in the Region according to the local Plans of each company to increase employee awareness.
- Ensure that Incident/Near Miss and Environmental Accident Investigations are carried out in each company in the Region, in conjunction with local personnel from the areas involved including root cause.
-Plan and conduct safety, health  and environmental audits to ensure compliance with all  Company internal and external obligations
- Ensure the implementation of EHS Programs
- Manage and develop own team skills

Preferred Qualifications

Previous in similar positions handling EHS, Occupational health and Security.
