Announcement
In June 2025, LYB announced entering into an agreement and exclusive negotiations for the sale of four olefins & polyolefins sites and the associated business in Europe. The sites to be sold are located in Berre (France), Münchsmünster (Germany), Carrington (UK), and Tarragona (Spain). The sites together represent a scaled olefins and polyolefins platform strategically located in proximity to a longstanding customer base and with access and connectivity to key infrastructure.
Closing of the proposed transaction is currently expected in the first half of 2026. From the start, the new company will be a scaled leader in European Olefins & Polyolefins. Powered by strategically located assets, a diverse product portfolio, and operational excellence, it aims to transform the business, fostering an agile, entrepreneurial culture where fast decision-making and hands-on collaboration drive transformation and growth.

You will become part of a new dynamic organization with around 1,800 employees, headquarters in Rotterdam and production sites in France, Germany, UK and Spain with a strong focus on customer excellence.
This is the role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Treasury Manager for our separating from LYB Group European Olefins business. This position reports to the Treasury Director and will be an important pillar to execute the diverse and far reaching Treasury activities. This role is crucial in ensuring our financial stability and liquidity as we transition into a standalone group.
The incumbent will be responsible for managing cash and FX as well as will be involved in and/or lead Treasury projects. Responsibilities will include but are not only limited to funding of group entities, short term investing of excess cash, borrowing under credit facilities/lines-of-credit, analysis of foreign currency exposures and execution of FX transactions. Responsibilities also include supporting business with issuance of bank guarantees, letters of credit and banking services. There is a mix of front, mid and back office activities combined within this role.
The position will also communicate frequently with a broad array of groups and will interface regularly with external banking partners.
Responsibilities
Cash, FX and liquidity
- Manage daily short and long term cash for group entities to ensure efficient use of cash and sufficient liquidity in the multi-currency cash pool;
- Analyse foreign currency exposures of group entities and execution of FX hedges;
- Settlement of Treasury contacts and payments;
- Managing In-house bank;
- Responsible for overall Treasury reporting, including but not limited cash, FX and cash flow forecast reporting.
Banking and Trade Finance
- Manage bank account structure, KYC, bank portal accesses, review bank agreements;
- Primary contact with Cash Management bank representatives;
- Support business with issuance of Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees. Management and administration of these facilities and other future trade finance products.
Projects and technology
- Lead or participate in Treasury projects, including technical projects;
- Drive system improvements;
- Collaborate with IT and other functions as needed to troubleshoot Treasury and related system limitations and failures that may arise from time to time;
- Involved in testing of new systems or processes to help drive best practices.
Compliance and controls
- Create, monitor and update relevant treasury documentation (policies, procedures) and ensure compliance;
- Responsible for regulatory reporting.
Other
- Manage Treasury Master Data;
- Managing ad hoc requests.

They are highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Power BI, and have fluent English skills with additional languages preferred.

This is what you bring
- Bachelor’s and Master’s degree are required, ideally with a major in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance;
- Professional qualifications as CFA or ACT are preferred;
- 5+ years of experience in Cash Management and Treasury;
- Knowledge of banking, Cash Pool concepts, In-house-bank and internal finance structures;
- Experience with Treasury Management Systems, preferably SAP Treasury;
- Experience in reviewing bank agreements;
- Experience in issuing Bank Guarantees and Letters of Credits;
- Knowledge of SAP is a must;
- Experience managing cash flow forecasting and cash position reporting.
