This is the role

A Digital environment based on blockchain will support a solution called the Digital Product Passport (DPP) and replicate the physical material flow along the value chain. The DPP is required by the European Commission, which has recently announced a legislation proposal around the Sustainable Products Initiative for traceability of several data attributes (for example - carbon emissions, transport, and recycling). 

The aim of the internship project is to explore, understand and report the various possible uses for this digital data environment internally within departments such as Commercial, Supply Chain, Sustainability, Finance, and others. Gather information from an outside perspective (peers, industries, countries) to replicate and learn from the existing use-cases of this digital environment.

Activities Overview

  • Develop assigned project as per scope, objectives and deliverables 
  • Participate in orientation sessions, Events & Training
  • Participate in day-to-day support activities of assigned organization and understand the priorities for the team 
  • Participate in discussions regarding the approach, planning, and development of components 
  • Document procedures and technical designs for new initiatives; present to peers and senior management
  • Conduct all activities in compliance with policies, guidelines, procedures, work processes, and internal controls
  • Work with the manager mentor to develop other key projects or initiatives
  • Participate in discussions regarding leveraging developing/novel technologies for existing work-flows (sharing knowledge and learning together)
  • Drive standardization and proactively recommend improvements


Starting date will be September 1st, the internship will have a duration of at least 3 months.

Depending on the student’s performance there would be an option to join as a full-time employee at the end of the internship

  • Currently enrolled in the final year of a BSc. or MSc. study in an IT related field
  • Fluent in English
  • Must be available to work 32 - 40 hours per week
  • Available as of September
  • EU citizen
