This is the role
The Sr. Payroll Analyst is responsible for overseeing the payroll processes of the organization. They ensure that all employees are paid on time and in accordance with LYB policies and local laws. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, payroll processing of highly compensated employees, foreign tax and earnings, as well as interpreting foreign currency and exchange rates.
Processing of additional payments such as bonuses, stock option exercise and other special payments using SAP Payroll. Knowledge of SAP payroll and the ability to multi-task is key to the success in this role.
Additionally, the Sr. Payroll Analyst is accountable for ensuring seamless integration between payroll systems and other HR systems, and must stay ahead of emerging trends and regulatory changes. Also, should be able to handle payroll audits independently.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviewing payroll data for accuracy, including processing payroll adjustments and resolving discrepancies;
- Monitoring government regulations and changes in labor law which may affect payroll processes;
- Maintaining employee records such as tax documents and employee files;
- Preparing reports on employee compensation costs, deductions, withholdings, benefits costs, and other relevant data;
- Reviewing and approving time sheets to ensure that employees’ hours have been recorded accurately;
- Managing the payroll process including the calculation of wages, deductions, and payment of employees’ wages;
- Monthly integration testing support for NL;
- Supports all HR applications 1st line e.g. CATS, PAD, HR Portal etc.;
- Take preventive controls and data overview to detect possible mistakes from other stakeholders inputting data into the system;
- Support the Benefit administrator with all of the year end and yearly controls.

This is what you bring
- (Preference of) a bachelors degree in accounting, finance or a related field;
- 6 + years of relevant experience using SAP to maintain and process payroll;
- Experience working with large volume payrolls and multiple legal entities;
- Experience with Success Factors as an HR system a plus;
- Proficient in MS Office products, very strong Excel skills;
- Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong oral & written communication skills;
- Languages: Dutch and English.
