This is the role

As a Senior Global Payroll Manager you will be part of the People and Culture (HR) Department. You will report to the Global Payroll Director, this role will work closely with the Payroll and HR leads in North America, Europe, Asia, AFMEI and LATAM regions to support their ability to complete projects and foster relationships with internal and external partners when driving continuous process improvement.
You will support local HR partners with payroll processes and questions and drive global best practices. This role will influence how Global Payroll relates to the broader organization.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, plan and oversee payroll initiatives and processes of the organization to achieve compliance globally
  • Ensure all payroll activities are delivered in compliance with local regulations, legislations and internal best practices
  • Manage payroll related compliance risks by helping local teams develop, document and assess controls in the payroll processes
  • Partner with both internal and external stakeholders and maintain strong business relationships across the HR, Legal, Tax, Benefits, Compensation, IT and Finance organizations
  • Partner with and provide strategic leadership to country payroll leads to translate business requirements into our Payroll systems landscape
  • Responsible for standardization of the Global payroll process and further improve and standardize payroll integrations. Ensure that local payroll changes are in line with global directions
  • Define and implement improvement projects in the area of Payroll and Payroll integration. Lead and contribute to projects, as defined
  • Deliver operational day-to-day support in Payroll problem resolution in cooperation with IT teams
  • Manage vendor relationships for the global payroll vendors including performing assessments

With your demonstrated ability to build strong and trusting relationships across organizational boundaries, you make sure to translate business requirements into functional solutions for IT teams. At last, you have a proven ability to work creatively and analytically in complex, cross-departmental environments.

This is what you bring

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent in Business or Information Systems or related field;
  • Extensive experience with end-to-end payroll process design and execution;
  • 8 + years of relevant experience using SAP (or larger equivalent ERP) to maintain and process payroll, system testing and troubleshooting;
  • Knowledge of SuccessFactors is a strong preference;
  • Experience working with large volume payrolls, preferably in French, Netherlands, German, UK, Spain and Italian payrolls;
  • Experience with multi-country transformation and International cross time zone working experience (statutory, regulatory and cultural);
  • Project management experience in a large international environment ;
  • Experience working in a multi-jurisdiction environment;
  • Some travel required;
  • Fluency in English and preferably in other language(s).
