This is the role

The Customer Service Specialist is managing:

  • to be the main the point of contact for all customer related issues
  • the accurate and timely execution of the order fulfillment process for customers
  • to participates in interdepartmental projects and conducts the training for new customer service staff
  • to deliver highest quality service to customers in Europe by handling customer requests in a timely and professional manner
  • to cooperate with Planning, Sales, Business and Supply Chain in order to serve the customer in the most efficient and effective way
  • to participate on supply chain / interdepartmental projects and sharing your knowledge. Function also requests ability to back-up colleagues within the team
  • to ensure long term value creation for the company while increasing customer satisfaction 
  • to operate as quickly and effectively as possible in achieving targets

Responsibilities & accountabilities: 

  • Delivering highest quality service to your European customers, handling customer requests in a timely and professional manner, building up long term value for the company while increasing customer satisfaction. 
  • Creating work flow of order receipt,  customer stock checking, and coordination of product and transport availability, timely delivery, handling of customer complaints, and up to invoicing.  
  • Acting as primary interface with Planning, Sales, Business and Supply Chain in order to serve the customer in the most efficient and effective way  in order to maximize value for LyondellBasell (feedback from business partners, KPIs, complaints) and ensuring effective interfaces with all partner functions
  • Developing strong relationships with key stakeholders (customers, planners, business, SC, Finance, etc) and building an effective network so that targets are effectively and efficiently are met.
  • You are ensuring that formal compliance and company work ethic culture is in place by respecting / adhering to all policies and procedures 
  • Checking and maintaining accuracy of Customer Master Data in SAP in liaison with Master Data team in order to ensure correct deliveries, invoicing and communication
  • Function also requests ability to back-up colleagues within the team.

  • Communication skills – Communication of messages in a clear and professional way that does not leave room for ambiguous interpretation. 
  • ‘Order to Cash’process – Understanding of the OTC process in detail and in particular the differences between the business units from forecast, order entry, planning, allocation, shipping up to billing and credit management. Contributing to build up quality network with all involved stakeholders. Good knowledge of SAP, and gaining experiences in business processes such as Consignment Stocks and Quality complains processes.

This is what you bring

  • BSc. degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • IT capabilities required -SAP, MS Office
  • Minimum of 2 years in Customer Service 
  • Strong English skills are a must, another European language a plus 
  • You reside in The Netherlands and are allowed to work here without needing sponsorship from a company
  • You are mature and feet to the ground person, ready and able to support team members, quick learner, able to handle day to day situations
