This is the role

As a Corporate Services Sourcing Specialist for Europe, based in Rotterdam or Wesseling and reporting to the European Procurement Manager Corporate Services (CS), you will have a strategic role across all EU sites, playing a key role in developing the strategy and leading + implementing projects for different categories including, but not limited to: Facilities, Office Supplies & Equipment, Marketing, Training and Travel.

The main focal points of this role are:

• Ensure that all procurement initiatives are aligned with the global strategy for your category;
• Brings sourcing expertise and best practice to generate and execute ideas to create savings;
• Maintains ongoing connection with regional and global Professional Services team;
• Work closely with the program leaders and business leaders to facilitate the implementation

These are the roles & responsibilities

In this position you will work on:

• Develop an internal network to capture needs, prioritize project and implement them in close
• coordination with stakeholders;
• Source and benchmark suppliers through RFP and negotiations;
• Ensure contracting & application of negotiated conditions;
• Define and follow KPIs with suppliers;
• Monitor quality service and performance of suppliers, and serve as a resource to resolve commercial  issues;
• Implement & follow action plan to improve supplier contributions.
• Seek continuous improvement of the procurement activities:
• Participate to category strategy & roadmap building;
• Propose and implement action plan to meet our productivity objectives;
• Ensure compliance along the process including within our relations with suppliers;
• Track savings & promote added value for stakeholders;
• Propose and implement simplification of purchasing and procurement processes with stakeholders.

As a Sourcing Specialist at LyondellBasell you are analytical (making decisions based on facts) and you know how to connect with people on all levels (stakeholder management). With your well-developed interpersonal skills and business acumen you are an excellent negotiator, influencing people in a positive way. 

The role may require occasional travel to our production facilities.

This is what you bring

• Bachelor’s degree required (or recognized equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience required in indirect procurement/ corporate services combined with purchasing and services management strategy / contract management
• Strong commercial skills
• Strong affinity with data analysis 
• Fluent in English language (speaking and writing). Another European country language preferred
• Knowledge of SAP, ARIBA and EXCEL
