The IT Senior Product Analyst is a key position in the discovery and delivery of technology solutions for the European Payroll functions. The Senior Product Analyst, through continuous consultation with the functional areas, has a deep understanding of business operations and is capable of articulating solutions in business terms and not technical jargon. They are capable of envisioning potential value for new IT solutions. 
The Senior Product Analyst is an individual contributor who is responsible for helping with gathering of business requirements to ensure business objectives are met by the new IT solutions  as well as the design, development and execution of projects. The Senior Product Analyst must ensure the full systems lifecycle process is adhered to, overseeing solutions through the entire implementation process. They must be proficient in Project Management disciplines from requirements gathering through implementation of the functional solution. The Senior Product Analyst advocates for their clients and acts as the single point of contact for incident management, new services and resource allocation.
This position reports to the IT Product Team Manager and supports other Product Team Analysts. 

This is what you do

 

•    Has a proficient understanding of HRIS and Payroll Departments processes such as Organizational Management, Personnel Administration, Payroll, Time Evaluation/CATS, and Compensation 

•    Gathers business requirements and identifies gaps through analysis of all the information available
•    Works closely with SAP functional developers throughout the entirety of the development and delivery process
•    Helps develop business cases, considering financial, resource, and technological constraints.
•    Maintains relationship with business colleagues 
•    Leads solution design activities with client groups in a specific business area to document and finalize business requirements
•    Works closely with business colleagues, to quickly understand new requirements or problems, then suggest a possible solution
•    Oversees and follows up on enhancements and small project implementation activities. Works with technical developers to ensure business requirements are clear and development activities are on schedule
•    Develops unit test cases and performs testing to ensure requirements are met for system modifications or data extracts.
•    Consults with business colleagues on appropriate change management activities to achieve organizational readiness for the implementation of changes.
•    Demonstrates leadership by coordinating the requirements, specifications, and user acceptance testing efforts.
•    Responsible for renewals of annual software maintenance contracts
•    Manages the risk assessment of potential new software vendors
•    Manages incident and problem management for assigned functional areas and client groups in support of on-going operations ensuring compliance with stage gate and internal controls.
•    Manages monthly enhancement cycle process 

This is what you bring

 

Must have experience and understanding in the following areas:
•    Fluently speaks and effectively writes in English
•    Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or related field is a plus, or certified in SAP HCM
•    Minimum 10 years of responsibility working with large SAP ERP global systems, with 5-7 years or more in specializing in Payroll module.  Business experience in a payroll department is a plus. 
•    Ability to engage with internationally distributed development teams.
•    Knowledge of integration between SuccessFactors EC, Time Management, Payroll and FICO.
•    Ability to create and meet timelines based on business needs and constraints.
•    Strong communications skills are required, both written and verbal
•    Should be a self-motivated individual, with customer service focus and attention to detail
•    Ability to communicate technical information in an understandable manner to non-technical audiences through writing and presentations.
•    Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple issues at once.
•    Strong analytical skills; ability to perform system analysis and draw conclusions by relating information from different sources, including root-cause analysis and issue resolution.
•    Exposure to project management, agile methodology and scrum is a plus.
•    When needed, can say “no” by offering meaningful alternatives
•    More than an "order taker” they are demand shapers – stimulating, surfacing and shaping business demand.
•    Well-grounded in Service Management – represent IT to the business.
•    Communicate and defend IT policies and standards, and understand how IT services benefit the business.
