This is the role

Responsible for the coordination and consolidation of the Manufacturing EAI reporting for the group as well as the manufacturing controlling, analysis and internal control activities for the 3 EAI Manufacturing sites in the Rotterdam area (Botlek, Maasvlakte and Moerdijk). This position is considered a key member of the management team serving multiple sites as well as the Chief of Staff for EAI Manufacturing. This position will work closely with Manufacturing Controlling & Analysis Americas and APS to drive alignment of multiple financial processes and global projects. This position will also routinely interact with the SVP, Manufacturing along with other senior management within the company. This manager position plays a crucial role in manufacturing decision support by providing insight and advise to drive Manufacturing financial performance.

Roles & Responsibilities

This role is the key liaison between Manufacturing and Finance. It requires direct interaction at both the SVP and site manager levels, together with Segment Controllers, Inventory Accounting, and General Accounting.  The role will also partner with Supply Chain and other support organizations to ensure compliance with accounting principles and control standards that impact manufacturing costs, working capital, and site EBITDA. The role seeks to influence decision making by providing a financial perspective that drives profitability while understanding and managing risks common to manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities, as they relate to the manufacturing sites include (but are not limited to) management of the following:

  • Annual budget process 
  • Site forecasting and LRP functions
  • Monthly and quarterly cost reviews for plant management and senior company leaders
  • Site capital processes with Capital Administration 
  • Internal controls and compliance with SOx
  • Annual benchmarking
  • Management Representation Letter
  • Classification of costs (fixed vs. variable)
  • Contract reviews specific to site
  • Financial support to three site managers and their staff
  • Three or more site finance professionals

This is what you bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting, finance or other related business degree is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial or manufacturing accounting.
  • ERP and data retrieval / analysis experience preferably with SAP and Business Warehouse.
  • Ability to work independently and solve complex problems with minimal guidance
  • Possesses high level of customer attention and focus with appropriate discipline toward being the Financial Conscience for site leaders

  • Strong ability to coach and teach those inside and outside of the CFO organization driving toward a well-rounded supported organization.

  • Experience working in a plant environment
