This is the role

As the Pricing Excellence Analyst (PEA) it is your purpose to ensure excellence in pricing management in APS Sales Europe. The position of pricing excellence manager focuses on support to sales and business in APS EU with 3 main areas of responsibilities – operational activities, reporting and tool development. You will collaborate with the marketing managers and the sales team to collect the required information in order to support pricing excellence improvement management process. Monthly reports will be prepared to share with management, highlighting the price performance and SOx compliance. You will work in close cooperation with other members of the department and also interface with relevant business staff. A successful PEA demonstrates strong skills in spreadsheet handling, use of functions available in excel, and calculations free from mathematical errors. Other skills refer to written and verbal communication, analytical ability and problem-solving. 


Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate the process for monthly price calculation, preparation, and maintenance of the price upload files and price master files
  • Support the execution of the monthly SOx pricing accuracy control and issue month closure report for APS Sales
  • Support to run, compile, analyse and distribute the Pricing dashboard including missing prices, material gross price/net price deviations vs plan or historic sales, benchmarks, etc. 
  • Maintain customer lists on formula and freely-negotiated basis
  • Investigate and resolve pricing questions/errors in co-operation with main stakeholders CSRs, Credit, Master Data, VAT, Sales and Marketing. Include any relevant Credit/Debit administration support and root cause analysis
  • Develop and implement Error checkers and other tools that optimize data quality
  • Participate in SAP Pricing Workshops to ensure smooth transition from legacy ASI systems to new LYB SAP 
  • Support to drive further digitization of Pricing Management with enabling tools like SalesForce, Advanced Analytics and future AM Portals, and SAP.

  • Product and Technical Knowledge – Looks for opportunities to continuously learn about LYB products and services to be able to clearly articulate these in a strong value proposition for the partner entity.

This is what you bring

  • University or college degree in Business Administration, Economics or Finance; minimum bachelor degree in sciences; master’s degree preferred
  • Post Graduate/Minimum 2 years of experience in Finance, Customer Service or Credit 
  • Basic IT skills (Microsoft Outlook, Office Word/Excel, SAP R/3, SalesForce), preferably advanced in Excel and experience with Advanced Analytics.   
  • English in combination with at least one other European language
