This role leads a team of individuals to ensure DT demand is clearly defined, prioritized, delivered, and aligned to business strategy while driving measurable business value. In addition to managing people, the role is also responsible for organizing, leading, and directing Business Interface processes which drive the success of the organization.

A Day in the Life

The DT Business Interface Manager serves as the primary link between the Business and Digital Technology (DT), combining strategic business interface ownership with hands‑on business analysis and solution delivery. The DT Business Interface Manager is a hybrid role designed for a professional who speaks both "business" and "tech" fluently. This role serves as the strategic glue between business units and the Digital Technology (DT) organization.


RESPONSIBILITIES


Business Partnership & Interface

  • Business Liaison: Serve as the primary consultant and "Face of DT" for Commercial leadership, building trusted relationships with business stakeholders and DT partners to ensure alignment and expectations are met;
  • Strategic Alignment: Ensure that the DT roadmap isn't just a list of tasks, but a direct reflection of long-term business goals;
  • Advocacy: Act as the single point of contact between DT and assigned business areas for demand, initiatives, enhancements, and operational requests.

Strategy, Roadmaps & Demand Management

  • Partner with business leaders to shape DT strategy, multi‑year roadmaps, and innovation pipelines;
  • Lead the intake process for new digital requests, conducting initial feasibility assessments and "t-shirt sizing" to filter high-value initiatives;
  • Guide business partners in defining initiatives aligned to enterprise and segment priorities;
  • Transparency & Governance: with the support of the delivery team, maintain a clear, prioritized backlog, providing stakeholders with full visibility into the "what, why, and when" of delivery.

Business Analysis & Solution Delivery

  • Lead discovery, requirements definition, and solution design for DT initiatives;
  • Together with business unit stakeholders, analyze end‑to‑end business processes to identify improvement opportunities and digital solutions;
  • Work closely with architects, developers, and cross‑functional DT teams to ensure solutions meet business needs;
  • Lifecycle Ownership: Oversee the journey from initial requirement gathering and solution design to UAT and final transition to operations;
  • Act as the functional bridge between business users and technical architects to ensure our SAP-enabled environment is optimized for performance.

Business Interface Organizational Processes

  • Organize and empower team members to lead responsibilities in Business Interface Organizational Process, such as Enhancements, Stakeholder Communications, Application rationalization, etc…;
  • Organize Training and institute SME’s Subject Matter Experts within the Business Interface Organization to elevate responsibilities in drive excellence in processes for stakeholders.

Value, Performance & Change

  • Develop and support business cases, including financial, resource, and risk considerations;
  • Help the business units build robust business cases to secure stakeholder buy-in, then take ownership of monitoring delivery outcomes, benefits, and performance metrics post-launch performance audits to ensure long-term return on investment;
  • Partner with stakeholders on change management and adoption to ensure successful implementation.

You Bring This Value

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field;
  • 9–15+ years of experience across business analysis, business interface, or DT delivery roles;
  • Strong understanding of commercial and/or supply chain processes, including SAP‑enabled environments;
  • Knowledge of relevant business processes in Lead to Cash and their integration with SAP systems.
