This is the role

 

As an IT Field Service Engineer you provide timely on-site or remote technical support for end users and act as next level escalation point for the IT Service Desk.  You will also troubleshoot problem areas and implement corrective solutions for end users.

 

You will also:
•    Install, configure, test, maintain, troubleshoot and replace workstations (Dell), IP Phones (Cisco), printers (Ricoh), mobile devices (iPhone) and related hardware and software. 
•    Assist with server, network and audio/video equipment lifecycle, deployment, troubleshooting and moving. 
•    Escalate unsolved issues/problems to tier 3 support.
•    Document situational facts, activities, communication and agreements during troubleshooting activities.
•    Coordinate third party vendors for on-site maintenance and/or incident visits.  
•    Manage inventory and administration of all equipment, their location and status. 
•    Coordinate and perform end-user training for special IT projects, IT procedures and best practices on core software tools (i.e. Microsoft Office, Windows 10, Sharepoint, Teams).
•    Participate in small/short-term projects supporting business activities, technology upgrades, rollouts, etc.

Rotational over Rotterdam, Moerdijk, ‘s-Gravendeel, Maasvlakte and Botlek, occasionally abroad

We are looking for a resourceful, customer focused team player who can easily fit into our internationally oriented organization. Aside from being part of a team, the job also requires that you can manage independently, while being pro-active and self-motivated. 

This is what you bring

 

•    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Business and a minimum of (one) year relevant experience or;
•    Non-degreed professional with a high school diploma or equivalent and at least (three) years relevant experience with knowledge and experience at an academic level
•    Knowledge of Windows 10 and Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word and Sharepoint)
•    Knowledge of Windows environment for servers and workstations, MCSA/ MCSE
•    Knowledge of Cisco Callmanager and ServiceNow preferred
•    Accuracy, excellent communication skills and self starter
•    Strong problem-solving skills
•    Understanding of IT infrastructure and the interactions of the different components
•    Technical organization and troubleshooting skills, issue resolution and risk mitigation capabilities
•    ITIL knowledge and experience
•    VCA certification or willingness to achieve
•    Fluency in English and Dutch, verbally and in writing
•    Stress resistant
•    Driver’s license and means of transportation and preferably living in the Rotterdam area
