This is the role
The primary responsibility of the function is to act as the configuration owner for Corporate HSE systems, drive consistent implementation, ensure efficient and effective usage, and identify improvement opportunities which help to improve overall HSE performance. This function owns the HSE System configuration, works with IT to improve or fix the solution to match the agreed business rules and preferred practices.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Facilitate agreement of changes/additions to the business rules and preferred practices of HSE system usage between all stakeholders, understanding the corporate requirements which require consistency and the possible level of flexibility;
- Define solutions, in cooperation with IT and IT Security, which are optimal between costs, sustainability, and usability;
- Validate the proper functioning of the solution before implementation (piloting, develop test scripts, testing);
- Document the business rules and preferred practices of HSE system usage and assist creation of training material;
- Drive the acceptance and good usage of the solution through appropriate change management (training, marketing, communication, …);
- Gather data, analyze, and report on HSE Systems to identify trends and leading indicators which help to improve overall HSE system performance;
- Keep in frequent contact with client base, understand defects and/or new requirements. Drive closure of defects and facilitate agreement on new requirements between the stakeholders;
- Some reporting responsibilities as required based on tools supported.

- Strong client focus;
- Quick understanding learning/understanding of IT applications;
- Ability to facilitate agreement, i.e., define desired outcome, understand different pathways, and apply situationally;
- Ability to drive and support change;
- Good communicator: explain complex topics simply and fit for audience;
- English language proficiency is required;
- Strong knowledge of MS office (Excel. PowerPoint) and training skills;
- Strong skills in development of training materials;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
This is what you bring
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Engineering or process related degree preferred;
- 5+ years related work experience;
- Working knowledge of the manufacturing/HSE processes such as incident reporting, investigation, or management of change processes;
- “Super User” role. Proven experience as an expert user of an IT application;
- Project lead, initiative lead or similar. Proven facilitative skills; reaching agreement amongst different stakeholders;
- Experience with creation of BI dashboards a plus.
