This is the role

The Global Payroll Manager, is a role within the Human Resources Department.  You will work closely with the Payroll Leads in Europe, supporting their ability to complete projects and foster relationships with internal and external partners when driving continuous process improvement.  This newly created role will influence how Global Payroll relates to the broader organization. Responsibilities & Accountablilities:

  • The position requires the ability to establish and maintain strong business relationships across the HR, Legal, Tax, Benefits, Compensation, IT and Finance organizations
  • Partnering with country payroll leads to translate business requirements into our Payroll systems landscape 
  • Responsible for standardization of the Global payroll process and further improve and standardize payroll integrations. Ensure that local payroll changes are in line with global directions.
  • Manage changes to solutions (releases / upgrades). Perform impact assessments, advice on enhancements and new payroll functionalities. Actively drive process optimization, standardization and quality in the Payroll domain.
  • Define and implement improvement projects in the area of Payroll and Payroll integration. Lead and contribute to projects, as defined
  • Deliver operational day-to-day support in Payroll problem resolution in cooperation with IT teams.
  • Drive process consistency across all regions and coordinate regional efforts towards global project implementations
  • Manage vendor relationships for the global payroll vendors

•    Demonstrated ability to forge strong and trusting relationships across organizational lines

This is what you bring

  • Proven management experience in Global Payroll, preferably in a large environment
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent in Business or Information Systems or related field
  • 8 + years of relevant experience using SAP (or larger equilivent ERP) to maintain and process payroll
  • Extensive experience with end-to-end payroll processes design and execution
  • Expertise in SAP Payroll; knowledge of SuccessFactors is a strong preference.
  • Experience with system testing and troubleshooting
  • Preferable experience/knowledge in French, Netherlands, German, UK, Spain and Italian payrolls (large volumes)
  • Multi-country transformation and International cross time zone working experience (statutory, regulatory and cultural)
  • Fluency in English and preferably also in other European languages
