This is the role

In the role of Global Digital Intelligence Manager you will be responsible for Global Management of the people and the strategy for delivering trusted “commercial” Digital Intelligence for execution of business strategy, aimed to maximize the profitability of APS, Advance Polymer Solutions business segment. This involves creating a step change in aptitude, speed, and accuracy of Business Intelligence, Decisions Processes, Reporting and Execution by: creating a business self-service data analytics culture, directing IT architecture and software applications for seamless data access and creating user-friendly data applications and processes to solve business problems for the commercial organization.



Responsibilities & accountabibilities:

  • Global Digital Intelligence Manager & Business Partner – Lead the Global Digital Intelligence team to identify and evaluate commercial digital intelligence needs for business data analytics and create standardized solutions aligned across all regions globally. To drive a culture towards new analytical tools, applications, automation, mobility, and architecture to advance data analytic capabilities of the APS commercial organization. 
    • Engagement with Commercial Organizations 
    • Partner with Business Strategy & Finance Organization
    • Leverage LYB Digital Data Science Organization
    • Partner with IT Organization 
  • Manage Digital Intelligence People / Organization – Manage direct reports in Europe, Asia, and US to “Deliver Trusted Digital Intelligence for Execution of APS Business Strategy”.
    • Lead – Engagement of Digital Intelligence team with global commercial organizations to create a digital data analytics culture to drive business decisions by centralizing analysis, tools, and information into a trusted center of excellence website. Integrating certified commercial datasets into fast user-friendly data analytic platforms to drive business strategy & execution. 
  • Technology Implementation:
    • Power BI and DAX Coding 
    • Microsoft Azure & Applications
    • Data Source Management 
    • Software/Infrastructure 
  • Change Management – Oversee the change management process & implementation of new applications with user base to ensure organizational understanding and acceptance of change and standardization.
    • Drive Digitalization Culture
    • Training & Documentation 
    • Industry Best Practices

This is what you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required in a quantitative field (such as: Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, MIS).
    • Master’s degree or Business emphasis preferred.
  • 10-15 years or more of relevant experience:
    • Leadership and team management experience in multinational companies
    • Cross functional project management experience (certification on project management is valued)
    • Implementing business driven data analytic initiatives to strategically combine business needs with data analytics to solve business problems. 
    • Data source management, analytics modeling, and visualization experience. 
    • Change management orientation and project execution skills across multiple functions and organizations.  
    • Business analysts and/or commercial experience 
  • Power BI expertise with proficiency in DAX Coding (certification is valued)
  • Data Analytics background in Microsoft Azure, Power BI, SQL, Data Modeling, etc.
  • Experience working with commercial organizations to drive business performance through data analytic and applications. 
  • Development experience in the areas of data analytics, data management, automation, and/or application development to enhance visibility and drive business decisions.
  • Experience with Agile principles, project management, product development, business intelligence & reporting, solution architecture re considered a plus.
  • English speaking and writing skills. Additional language would be a plus.
