Announcement
In June 2025, LYB announced entering into an agreement and exclusive negotiations for the sale of four olefins & polyolefins sites and the associated business in Europe. The sites to be sold are located in Berre (France), Münchsmünster (Germany), Carrington (UK), and Tarragona (Spain). The sites together represent a scaled olefins and polyolefins platform strategically located in proximity to a longstanding customer base and with access and connectivity to key infrastructure.
Closing of the proposed transaction is currently expected in the first half of 2026. From the start, the new company will be a scaled leader in European Olefins & Polyolefins. Powered by strategically located assets, a diverse product portfolio, and operational excellence, it aims to transform the business, fostering an agile, entrepreneurial culture where fast decision-making and hands-on collaboration drive transformation and growth.
Are you ready?
You will be crucial to a successful transition and, when the sale is closed, success of the new company. You will become part of a new dynamic organization with around 1,800 employees, headquarters in Rotterdam and production sites in France, Germany, UK and Spain with a strong focus on customer excellence.
This is the role
Your core business can be defined in two areas, one is to coordinate and execute operational, administrative support for the CEO and the Leadership Team. This support can be defined, but is not limited to meeting and travel management, organizing events of varying size and participants and assistance in people management. You can be a gatekeeper for live projects of various kinds. Administration related tasks are related to handling service invoices through the Purchase to Pay process in SAP and coordinating with Accounts Payable.
The second area of responsibility is related to facilities. You are responsible for the general order, cleanliness and appearance of the office building. This support can be defined, but is not limited to coordinate and monitoring office-related services to ensure a safe, tidy and well-functioning work environment, be the primary point of contact for the external facilities management service provide, handling office-related purchasing and ordering, identifying facility-related issues, follow up on actions and escalates where needed and supports continuous improvement of office and facility services.
The organization is evolving. As the organization continues to grow, this role will be expanded to include a direct report. Experience in leading and supporting a team is therefore required. This will be a fulltime position.
This is who you are
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office 365, that tackles Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams;
- Strong personality, autonomous and able to work independently but also in a team;
- A self starter, able to initiate administrative improvements and needs limited guidance from supervisor;
- Well-honed organizational skills—manages workflow & projects effectively and timely;
- Able to manage & prioritize multiple projects;
- Confident in managing and developing a small team as well as contacting counterparts at political/minister level;
- Needs to be precise and have eye for detail;
- Excellent interpersonal skills; able to communicate and coordinate workflow assertively and diplomatically at all levels of the organization;
- Bachelor degree preferred, or equivalent experience;
- Minimum of 5-10 years working experience in same or similar role in an international environment;
- Fluent in English both written as oral, and other European languages are preferred.
