This is the role

As a key member of the Global Technology Operations organization within the Information Technology department, the Enterprise Platforms Manager is responsible for overseeing the architecture, design, delivery, development, and operation of essential non-ERP enterprise application platforms. These platforms include enterprise productivity applications, voice/telephony services, conferencing services, web application hosting, database hosting, and enterprise application integration platforms. The role involves leading a team of four leads, managing global solutions, technical resources, analysts, and off-shore services while emphasizing safety, reliability, and fiscal responsibility.

 

The Enterprise Platforms Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and optimization of critical enterprise application platforms while fostering a collaborative and efficient team culture. They are instrumental in driving continuous improvement, meeting business demands, and aligning technology solutions with strategic objectives.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance in the architecture, design, delivery, development, and operations of enterprise platform solutions
  • Establish and uphold global standards for telephony and conference room equipment to ensure a consistent user experience across the organization.
  • Define and enforce global standards for non-ERP development environments to maintain a streamlined and efficient development process.
  • Deploy and maintain reliable platforms for online conferencing and company-wide town hall/media events.
  • Ensure the reliability of managed systems through meticulous planning and adherence to change control procedures.
  • Cultivate a safety-oriented culture within the team and promote a strong commitment to safety protocols.
  • Lead and manage a team of leads, overseeing more than 30 full-time employees and contingent staff.
  • Supervise multiple application support and development offshore teams, monitoring service levels, and driving continuous operational improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with direct reports to understand daily operations, ensuring high performance and availability of systems.
  • Work in conjunction with IT leadership to comprehend needs and prioritize IT demands.
  • Manage capacity requirements to align with budgetary constraints that support overall financial goals.
  • Engage with third-party vendors for services and team as needed to develop and implement solutions, meeting changing demands.
  • Facilitate the responsible development of new capabilities and features as requested by Business Clients and IT Product and Centre of Excellence teams.
  • Manage the relationship with service providers and suppliers, ensuring adherence to SLAs and continuous customer satisfaction.
  • Provide guidance and allocate resources for projects and initiatives.
  • Drive the development and enhancement of IT Infrastructure in line with industry trends and business needs.
  • Foster IT cost awareness and transparency throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with other operational teams to manage solution releases to production, including coordinating maintenance windows.
  • Regularly interact with leadership to drive strategies and actively participate in team and company-wide architecture discussions.
  • Manage the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement and licensing. 
  • Oversee the migrating of data to Microsoft 365 and deploying applications.
  • Develop and implement staffing plans to maintain a skilled and efficient workforce.

You're an adept manager with experience leading infrastructure, application, and security teams, both in-house and outsourced. Skilled in cloud platforms, vendor negotiations, and technical architecture, you combine strong leadership with excellent communication. Your detail-oriented, customer-focused approach allows you to handle complex technical matters while juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Your knack for analysis and potential project management experience enhance your capabilities.

This is what you bring

•    Minimum 10 years of leadership responsibility managing medium to large globally distributed teams;
•    Experience managing multi-level large teams;
•    Experience across a broad range of technologies including Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, Azure Active Directory, Power Platforms, Intune, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft 365 Admin Center Servers, VM Ware, SQL Server, Cyber Security tools, Networking and SAN;
•    Fluent in English.
