This is the role

As Delivery Scheduler you will be responsible for the accurate and timely execution of the order delivery creation process for land transport orders for the LyondellBasell Liquid Bulk Chemicals Division in Europe( including Sales Orders and Stock Transfer Orders). You’ll be responsible for; Delivery creation in SAP, loading scheduling at plants and terminals, coordination of transportation and on-time delivery, handling order process exceptions, investigation for customer complaints and negotiation of increment al logistics cost as well as any demurrage costs. You will be also responsible and accountable for resolution of any logistics problems requiring effective communication both internally and externally to ensure total customer satisfaction with LyondellBasell products and services minding cost implications. You need to be flexible and adaptable to work cross functionally and provide support to Supply Chain team members and business partners.



  • Delivers highest quality service to customers by handling orders in a timely and efficient manner and by liaising with the internal stakeholders and LSP’s.
  • Acts as primary interface with customer fulfillment, Supply chain services, Sales, Business, Supply Chain procurement, Haulers and Freight Forwarders in order to serve the customer in the most efficient and effective way.
  • Develops strong relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external) and builds  an effective network. 
  • Checks and maintains accuracy of Master Data in the SAP system in liaison with  Customer Fulfillment, Supply Chain Services and the Master Data teams.
  • Respects all policies and procedures and proactively “lives” them. 
  • Improves internal and external operational procedures for land transport logistics operations.
  • Supports/advices Sales-Business in defining efficient and cost effective logistics solutions reducing financial impact and maximizing margins. Initiates/participates to cost improvement projects.
  • Deals with the complexity of all the aspects of the marine order/shipment process.
  • Supports logistics procurement with volume forecasts (when available) and facilitates data related to preparing transport contracts for new customer account.

This is what you bring

  • University / college degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Experience with divers IT systems (SAP, MS Office)
  • 1-3 years experience in a business or business related environment (preferably in the chemical or petrochemical industry)
  • Fluent in English, additional European languages are a benefit
  • You live in The Netherlands and are eligible to work here without visa sponsorship
