At the intersection of these pillars, the Data & Analytics Center of Excellence is building the data foundation and a catalog of data products, analytical applications, and enterprise services that give users across our company the tools, data, and guidance to generate insights. 

 

The Data Product Lead will be responsible for data governance, help develop and maintain data products i.e. data catalog, data security, and working with complex datasets to support a Data Product development roadmap.

These are the roles & responsibilities

 

  • Experience in maintaining data catalogs
  • Drive the build out of data dictionaries and business glossaries, including setting utilization criteria for the data catalog.
  • Lead and direct projects to ensure high quality work product, and partner with team members across the organization
  • Serve as a point of escalation for data governance, data catalog quality and protection issues
  • Identify Data Owners and other Data experts (stewards and custodians) and ensure they clearly understand their role and responsibilities
  • Applying business analysis and business process capturing skills to understand data from a business perspective

This is what you bring

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or a related discipline preferred
  • 5+ years working in Data Governance or Data Stewardship roles
  • Demonstrable data experience from data-related capabilities including Data Architecture, Data Lineage, Data Quality, Metadata Management, ETL / ELT and Governance with a track record of delivery
  • Hands-on experience of using one or more of the following or equivalent toolsets: Alation, Collibra Data Catalog, Informatica, Azure Purview 
  • Experience with data profiling and defining data quality rules and checks
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization and work with diverse project teams this includes listening to management, data analysts and relevant staff to come up with the best data design; explaining complex concepts to non-technical colleagues and relate architectural decisions and recommendations to business needs
  • Prior experience in Business Analysis will be beneficial
  • Prior experience in any Data Governance Tools will be beneficial

  • Experience with data cataloging tools such as Alation, Collibra, or Informatica
  • DevOps on an Azure platform
  • Experience of Reporting and Analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Alteryx
  • Experience with global enterprise environment or major consulting firm is a plus.
