This is the role

As Capex & Projects Coordinator you are responsible for coordinating the Capex LRP cycle in the department of Circular & Low Carbon Solutions (C&LCS) globally, making sure that the input is in line with the corporate guidelines and timeline. This role requires alignment with the site organizations, C&LCS business, Global Projects and other departments (within or outside C&LCS).

 

Furthermore, you will be responsible for the development, according to our PMP process, of various Capex projects at our existing recycling sites in Europe. The capex portfolio for the sites cover a variety of projects, from mechanical, IT to HSE, with a total budget of 3-5 M Euro. You will be mainly acting as project lead for these projects with a project team at the site. However, it is also expected that you act as a consultant for the site organization, guiding them through the LYB processes and requirements.
 
Within the C&LCS business unit, you will be working closely with the technology group and the Operations & Engineering Services Lead.
There is around 30% travelling involved because of visiting the different manufacturing sites in mainly Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.

This is what you bring

  • Minimum Bachelors’ degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent;
  • Minimum of 5 years’ in the refining, petrochemical, chemical or advanced recycling process, industries is preferred with significant (Capital) project development experience;
  • Development and implementation of engineering projects in brown field plants and/or development of green field plants;
  • Familiar with Project management processes;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor project teams and work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment;
  • Fluency in English, additional language preferred.
