This is the role
In this role of Business Development Manager Advanced Reclycing & Bio-based Feedstocks EMEAI you'll manage the p-oil and sustainable bio-feedstock sourcing development initiatives for CirculenRenew and CirculenRevive and support the growth of EU Circular Product Solutions. You will identify, design and build partnerships with potential feedstock suppliers, gather market intelligence, maintain the supplier database of feedstock sources and update industry supply/demand balances as the recycling market evolves. The position works in the Advanced Recycling & Low Carbon Solutions team, closely cooperating with the EMEIA O&P organization, including the EMEIA Feedstock, Olefins & Optimization teams as well as the EMEIA Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams and the C&LC Mechanical Recycling & Feedstock regional team
Responsibilities & accountabilities:
- External Development and Relationship Building
- Maintain relationships with external parties (feedstock suppliers) and commitments in order to influence further progress and developments as needed.
- Identify and evaluate potential 3rd party chemical recycling partnerships, liasing for support on technology assessment with Advanced Recycling 3rd party BD & Technology team
- Design scope and business model of 3rd party chemical recycling partnerships, negotiate and execute partnership agreements, with support from Advanced Recycling 3 rd party BD & Technology team and C&LC Finance & Strategy and Legal
- Negotiate supply agreements on pyrolysis oil and bio-feedstocks
- Provide industry analysis and competitive intelligence in supporting and developing LyondellBasell positions in industry associations, as it relates to policy developments on sustainable feedstocks.
- Internal Development
- Develop the value proposition and assess attractiveness for various feedstock supplies with support from olefins optimization for the various EMEIA Circular Economy Roadmap initiatives;
- Manage the feedstock contracting strategy and execution (including specification approvals) with the olefins and feedstock team for the required pyrolysis oil and renewable feedstocks;
- Coordinate the storage and delivery logistics with C&LC Planning & Operations
- Collaborate with the polymers team to meet incoming customers (brand owners, converters) CirculenRevive and CirculenRenew requests;
- Align with EMEAI Recover team to ensure access to waste feedstocks for both chemical & mechanical recycling in EMEIA at optimal quality adjusted prices;

This is what you bring
- Min. Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field of study
- Master's degree in Business preferred
- Minimum 15 years of professional work experience in the petrochemical , waste management or related industry
- Strong English language skills, additional languages preferred
