This is the role
As Asset Planner you'll be responsible for managing Supply Planning for European O&P assets in balancing short to medium term supply/demand, inventory levels and focusing on value optimization. You coordinate response to operational issues/opportunities consistent with business strategy and constraints. Furthermore you'll manage the day to day supply plan execution and allocation process to ensure the requested sales volume is available as per business requirements at the lowest cost. You'll also be the primary business interface for short term execution and operational activities in supply planning is with monomer, manufacturing, supply chain and asset management. For sales plan execution the main interface is with sales, marketing and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Re-work the optimized supply plan into a monthly production volume and schedule for relevant assets, taking into account monthly demand plan, inventory levels and operational restrictions. Ensure product availability and sourcing at lowest overall cost, in line with the business objectives and agreed demand.
- Manage in-month execution (allocations, hand-backs) with sufficient product to meet the sales plan in-line with customer prioritization.
- Assess the impact of any in-month sales plan change on the supply plan and if necessary revise short term supply plan allocation, stock targets and supply. Take a decision if any change is needed to supply plan.
- Evaluate unplanned supply events on short term production plan and communicate any adjustments to the schedule to the production planning group.
- Co-ordinate with business stakeholders product shortage, and conflicts in grade availability; communicate events and consequences on short term sales and production plan and execute the required changes to the sales plan.
- Follow-up with asset management, marketing and sales on slow moving grades, blocked grades, excess and inactive inventory.
- Update the innovation grade forecast and availability for market introduction and communicate in a timely manner.
- Measure KPI’s for operational reporting to give transparency to performance versus targets. Reporting should include inventory quantity/quality, plant operating rates, number of plant changes and reasons for slow/shut down of responsible asset. Communicate daily plant status (grade and throughput) and any change to operational production capacity to update the Supply Demand files.
- Coordinate the definition of annual stock target setting.

- Very well organized and able to deal with dead lines;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
- Very good communication skills able to deal with various hierarchical levels within the organization;
- Proves to be a team player and being able to coordinate various tasks with stakeholders.
This is what you bring
- BSc. or MSc. in a relevant field such as Supply Chain or Business;
- 3 years experience in a supply chain( supply and demand planning preferred), or manufacturing environment;
- Very good working knowledge of SAP ERP / SAP IBP or similar ERP;
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and the other tools of Microsoft office;
- Fluent in English is necessary, fluent in French is preferred and fluency in any other European language (Spanish/Italian/German) is considered a plus.
