This is the role

The Supply Chain Services Team supports the logistics procurement department to ensure key data hygiene is maintained across various systems (SAP, transporeon, etc.), helps to provide analysis to the cost and spend structures, and leverages data solutions to improve the current way of working.

As Analyst Supply Chain you will focus on support processes related to freight rate management and invoicing to learn the general operating environment. An additional focus area will be to perform data analysis to improve logistics procurement and performance by identifying process bottlenecks or areas of high costs and formulate proposals that enable efficiencies or improvements. 

Together with your fellow analysts, you ensure complete and accurate monthly spend reporting and provide specific insights to your business line. You support existing reports and dashboards enabling the logistics procurement group to make data based decisions. Also, you think of continuous improvements by participating in projects and change requests.

Your operational activities are linked to securing accurate and timely processing of transportation invoices, regular maintenance of freight rates in our ERP system, and maintaining effective business controls.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assure accurate logistics rate management procedures that provide correct rate and invoicing capabilities.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders regarding freight rate/invoicing discrepancies to identify the root-cause and resolve.
  • Process ownership of GR (goods receipt) creation for fixed and variable costs in the Supply Chain.
  • Ensuring timely updates of reports & dashboards as per agreed with your stakeholders.
  • Driving continuous improvements in data quality, actionable insights and process standardization.
  • Supporting the logistics procurement team as an analyst with structural and on demand reports and KPI analysis.
  • Monitoring and analyzing supply chain performance data to identify areas for improvement and recommend changes to supply chain models.
  • Familiarity regarding working with data: optimizing data loads, transformations, and the creation/maintenance of Supply Chain dashboards.

You have a critical thinking mindset to stay curious and challenge the status quo in aims to improve the process and output in your domain.

This is what you bring

  • Min. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance or a related discipline.
  • Up to 2 years of proven relevant experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, or a related role / function. 
  • Familiar with ERP systems preferably SAP.
  • Familiar in software like Power BI, Power Automate, Excel (VBA), Celonis, etc.
  • Familiar with working with cross functional flowcharts for process mapping like VISIO.
  • Chemical industry experience/knowledge is beneficial.
  • English and an additional European language preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
