This is the role

As a Project/Turnaround Engineer you will be involved in all phases of the turnaround (TA) - preparation, execution, and closure - for maintenance of our Electrical and Instrumentation (E/I) equipment. You will lead the development of the scope, prepare it meticulously, keep a close eye on execution, guide all processes, and evaluate the key findings in the final phase to further optimize the turnaround (TA) process. You will build the necessary organization required in the various phases.
Your tasks include:

  • Being part of the TA core team and developing the TA scope for your discipline and the execution strategy according to the LyondellBasell TA excellence model;
  • Establishing and optimizing QaQc (ITP) strategies for the execution phase;
  • Budget planning for your discipline;
  • Establishing preparatory and execution organization and determining contractor strategy;
  • Preferably leading the Electrical and Instrumentation execution organization;
  • Compiling final reports after the TA for your discipline;
  • Providing input to the site maintenance organization in the area of optimization of maintenance and spare parts plans.

This is who you are

Safety is your top priority. You are a communicative team player with organizational skills who can thoroughly prepare for a turnaround. You have worked in the field of Electrical and Instrumentation. Moreover, you stand firm and embrace challenges rather than avoiding them. If you encounter difficulties, you know how to find the right people to find a solution together: therefore, you value building connections with other disciplines.

This is what you bring

  • A Bachelor level of education, with a degree in chemical/mechanical or electrical engineering, or MBO level of education with strong analytical ability;
  • You have at least 3 years of work experience in the industry and within the E&I field;
  • Work experience with scheduled turnarounds is a plus;
  • You have full professional proficiency in English and your level of Dutch is preferably min. B2.

This is what we offer

We offer an environment where we encourage personal and professional growth and where you will be rewarded for your performance and results. You will have the possibility to work with specialists on all fields to develop innovative solutions and to extend your national and international network. In addition, we offer you a competitive salary package. LyondellBasell is committed to advancing diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI) to ensure a positive experience for all employees.
