This is the role

We believe an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Which smart solutions can we implement to minimize equipment downtime and maximize the component lifetime? What data-driven decisions do we need to make to improve quality, productivity and profitability? How can we anticipate on challenging resourcing issues to add value to today’s business and the long-term strategy? Questions we must ask ourselves daily, and that’s where you come in.

As a Maintenance Manager at LyondellBasell you are responsible for creating, executing and improving the maintenance strategy for the Maasvlakte site, in order to accomplish a more efficient organization. You will deal with a great variety of technical disciplines, operational as well as tactical and strategical, from mechanical and electrical engineering to recurring inspections and turn around work preparation. Digitalization is one of the enablers to make the necessary improvements sustainable.
With a team of around 20 specialists you’ve got a lot of intelligence available, everyone having their own specialism and strengths. Your goal is to maintain the assets in the most efficient way by creating a common goal for your team and to encourage them to grow professionally and personally. You stimulate innovation and you are always open for ways to improve processes all in the right order of priority and in alignment with the overall local and global strategy.  A very dynamic role as part of the maintenance management team with a clear mission: implementation of a long term preventive maintenance strategy and reliability improvement with supportive procedures.

This is who you are

You are a strong leader who feels at home in manufacturing environments. Besides your pragmatic approach you are able to switch from an operational to a tactical and strategical view in an instant. You know how to drive change within a maintenance organization. You excel in having oversight in the main issues by analyzing data, connecting to all levels, making complex situations understandable and setting out focus points for implementing change. You are not afraid to have constructive discussions and make a stand by taking ownership.

This is what you bring

• A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering ;
• +5 years of experience in a comparable maintenance related environment;
• Fluent English and Dutch.
