This is the role

The Global Engineering & Turnaround (GE&T) organization has oversight responsibilities for the preparation and execution of all turnaround events globally. The Senior Turnaround Event Manager, BOMA leads and directs all preparation, planning, execution, and closure activities for turnaround assignment to BOMA and supports relevant TA’s in Europe.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to enable the organization to achieve GoalZERO HSE performance;
  • Provide leadership to drive adoption of the Turnaround Excellence Model requirements and deliver to the Turnaround Premise;
  • Leads the Turnaround Management Team for each assigned turnaround to support, facilitate, and implement the front-end loading, planning, execution, and closure of the turnaround in accordance with the objectives established in the turnaround premise statement and within the approved cost and schedule; 
  • Identifies and provides leadership to develop and realize turnaround improvement efforts;
  • Effectively communicates up, down, and across to foster support and remove obstacles.

You have the ability to work under minimal supervision and effectively manage people and multiple/changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. With your exceptional analytical skills to effectively evaluate system performance, troubleshooting and mastery of continuous process improvement tools, you are able to communicate and interface with and relate complex concepts/issues with all levels. With your leadership, mentoring and team work skills you are able to effectively transfer technical expertise to less experienced turnaround professionals. Besides you work in a structured way.
 

This is what you bring

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in engineering, construction management, or related technical field is preferred. 
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in a process plant or comparable environment is required. 10 or more years of prior turnaround or related work experience is strongly preferred for degreed candidates. Non-degreed candidates should have a minimum of 20 years of experience in a process plant or comparable environment. 15 or more years of prior turnaround or related work experience is strongly preferred;
  • Fluent English and Dutch, knowledge of French and German is a plus.
