•    Absolute reduction in scope one and two emissions of 30 percent by 2030;
•    A minimum of 50 percent of electricity procured from renewable sources by 2030.
Achieving these goals while still assuring safe and reliable operation will require significant (capex) changes to our production sites and also the production facilities of our raw material and utility Suppliers.

This is the role

You will have a major role in energy transition related studies, defining projects and supporting their execution.
You will work closely together with site staff, LYB global R&D, both corporate and outsourced engineering departments and the Global projects Organization. 
As Electrical engineer of a multi-disciplinary team you will be responsible for the electrical scope and function as the lead Electrical engineer on projects. You will review, and occasionally perform electrical engineering calculations, design, and specifications to support project objectives, review design drawing and engineering specifications to ensure conformance with relevant company/industry standards and practices and function as the electrical focal point for the engineering contractor company.

This is what you bring

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering;
  • Min of 5 - 10+ years of industrial experience in Power Distribution within the Petrochemical, Chemical or Refinery Industry;
  • Proven leader with the ability to successfully drive critical initiatives;
  • Working knowledge of industry codes such as applicable ANSI/IEEE, EN, ATEX, IEC (in detail IEC 60364, IEC 60909, IEC 61936 or the equivalent national codes  VDE, NEN NFC, BS);
  • Experience in conducting Power System Studies including Arc Flash Studies, implementing Arc Flash mitigation techniques and the different arc flash ppe tests and codes;
  • Experience in electrical system studies using software tools SKM Power Tools, Neplan or PSS Sincal;
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills in English. Good command of Dutch is a plus.
