Basic Function
The "Solid Waste and Recycling Specialist" role focuses on ensuring compliance with National Laws (Law 152/2006) and Company Standards regarding Environmental Management in waste management, particularly in the field of plastic recycling. The primary objective is to uphold operational compliance with relevant laws and standards for site waste management and purchasing, while safely managing tasks related to waste collection, storage, classification, and disposal.
The position is Temporary (12 months).
Roles & Responsibilities
General
• Facilitate international purchasing of recycled materials.
• Negotiate terms and prepare purchase orders.
• Process purchase orders for waste and laboratory consumables.
• Record incoming shipments and manage invoicing processes.
• Handle customs clearance operations and maintain document archives.
Area of Expertise, Requirements
• Oversee and maintain waste forms and records, ensuring effective communication with regulatory authorities.
• Conduct waste analyses and manage supplier and transporter authorizations.
• Complete digital documentation (when applicable) and manage the waste inventory system.
• Process and send the Single Model of Environmental Declaration (MUD)
Min. Qualifications
Education
• high school diploma/bachelor's degree. Batchelor’s/Master’s Degree in Environmental/Sustainable Technologies and Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or similar are preferred.
• Knowledge of the program Ecomatico/Rentri
Work Experience
• One year of experience in similar roles in the environmental/waste field (at least basic knowledge of the documentation to be produced and sector regulations required)
• In alternative educational background on waste management regulations
Languages
• English, additional language preferred
