Basic Function
The EHS Prevention and Protection Specialist will collaborate in the risk assessment and, therefore, in the drafting of the relevant Risks assessment document, in the planning and control of the prevention and protection measures implemented to guarantee adequate levels of health and safety. He/She will identify the risk factors within the company and continuously monitor the dynamics that develop within the company with regard to the state of the structural and technological resources (work environments, systems, machines, equipment, etc.), the organization, training and work practices followed, reporting risk situations in writing to the employer. He/ She will participate in consultations on health and safety at work, i.e. the annual periodic meeting (art. 35 Legislative Decree 81/2008).
Roles & Responsibilities
General
• provide workers with the information required by art. 36 Legislative Decree 81/2008.
• identify and monitor opportunities for improvement in safety and the environment.
• planning and contacts with suppliers for periodic checks of safety, fire, emergency, electrical safety systems, and for the supply of goods and services (PPE, modifications, small equipment, environmental analyses)
• promotes programs or initiatives to raise awareness of the OCS (Operation Clean Sweep) program
• support internal safety and environmental audits
• apply and enforce rules and procedures relating to Security aspects (ISO28000 Management System)
• use of customized software for the creation of safety data sheets
• recording of data in the Intelex system

• Plant personnel apply and comply with safety and environmental regulations
• DVR updated and compliant with regulations
• Machinery and systems continuously updated and compliant with regulations
• Reduction of the LTA index and the number of accidents
• Plant compliance with environmental regulations
• Continuous reduction of environmental impact through continuous improvement
• Zero incidents
Min. Qualifications
Education
Requirements
• Technical high school diploma.
• 2 years of seniority in the role
• certificate of attendance, with learning assessment, at specific qualifying training courses (ASPP);
Preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering subjects
• Participation in a training for internal auditors on specific topics.
• Knowledge of English.
• Courses on people management, delegation and leadership
Work Experience
Requirements
• Knowledge of the requirements of the safety and environmental management system.
• Use of the office package
• Use of AUTO-CAD
