Announcement

In June 2025, LYB announced entering into an agreement and exclusive negotiations for the sale of four olefins & polyolefins sites and the associated business in Europe. The sites to be sold are located in Berre (France), Münchsmünster (Germany), Carrington (UK), and Tarragona (Spain). The sites together represent a scaled olefins and polyolefins platform strategically located in proximity to a longstanding customer base and with access and connectivity to key infrastructure. 
Closing of the proposed transaction is currently expected in the first half of 2026. From the start, the new company will be a scaled leader in European Olefins & Polyolefins. Powered by strategically located assets, a diverse product portfolio, and operational excellence, it aims to transform the business, fostering an agile, entrepreneurial culture where fast decision-making and hands-on collaboration drive transformation and growth.  

 

Are you ready?
You will be crucial to a successful transition and, when the sale is closed, success of the new company. You will become part of a new dynamic organization with around 1,800 employees, headquarters in Rotterdam and production sites in France, Germany, UK and Spain with a strong focus on customer excellence.

This is the role

As Raw Material, Production and Transportation Scheduler you will optimize the production planning of finished goods, raw materials, and transport with a strong focus on profitability, ensuring proper inventory rotation and on time availability—both for supplying materials to the plant and for carrier pickup—while guaranteeing timely deliveries to customers. 

Main responsibilities

Raw Materials & Planning
•    Manage raw material purchasing, MRP, supplier confirmations, and invoice handling.
•    Coordinate bulk material distribution and oversee storage, shelf life, and safety compliance.
•    Maintain Safety Data Sheets and support raw material supply, shortages, and deliveries.
•    Provide backup for transport and finished goods planning.

Finished Goods
•    Optimize production planning, sequencing, and packaging allocation.
•    Ensure stock availability, maintain inventory levels, and reduce slow moving or obsolete items.
•    Maintain MRP data, create SAP packaging recipes, and assign batches (FIFO).
•    Support transport or raw materials planning when needed.

Transport & Logistics
•    Process customer orders and prepare transport documentation.
•    Assign batches (FIFO), coordinate carrier pickups, and manage container and bulk loadings.
•    Handle export coordination, customs issues, and urgent or atypical shipments.
•    Report carrier incidents and support purchasing evaluations.

General
•    Contribute to sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives.
•    Participate in logistics safety inspections.

This is what you bring

•    Degree/Graduate in Economics/Business. Also valid specific medium/superior studies related to logistics activities.
•    High level of spoken and written English and Spanish.
•    Good knowledge of the planning process and MRP.
•    High knowledge of SAP and notions of Business Warehouse.
•    Excellent MS-Office experience (especially Excel).

 

In addition to the above requirements, the following will be considered:
•    Other languages, German, French, Italian.
•    Knowledge of transport regulations/Incoterms.
•    Knowledge of warehouse organization and management.
•    Experience in similar position.
