Senior Treasury Analyst

Position Summary

This position contributes to all aspects of ensuring efficient banking structures and to support Treasury Operations across the APAC region with banking services and inhouse Treasury processes.  Primary responsibilities include bank account maintenance, support treasury system implementation; and perform daily cash & liquidity management throughout LYB owned bank accounts and entities.  This position will also support APAC treasury group to formulate regional treasury work process
The position communicates frequently with a broad array of internal functions such as Controllers, IT, Legal and also the regional Treasury Operations Teams outside Asia.

Roles & Responsibilities

Banking Administration

• Support bank administration i.e. bank account documentation related to opening and closing of bank accounts, update bank signatories, update KYC documents and maintenance of regional bank accounts.
• Act as an administrator for regional bank account platforms and review the reporting on access rights to these systems in conjunction with the regional & global Treasury Operations team.
• Administer routine bank account audits for local Chinese bank accounts 

Cash Management

• Conduct daily cash management across region, with key focus in China to ensure LYB group has enough liquidity to support daily business operations
• Responsible to work with LYB stakeholders on the flow of Bank Acceptance Draft (“BAD”) in China
•  Assist to manage the utilization of working capital facilities 

IT/Systems

• Work with regional/global Treasury team on trading FX platform as well as confirmation 
• Manage banking systems to support China BAD process
• Provide support for the internal and external audit process, as needed.
• Support routine treasury operation & ad hoc assignments

Insurance 

• Support the Global Insurance Team with the global marine cargo insurance program in China. 
• Be the liaison with LyondellBasell’s insurance broker and insurer in China.
• Provide support to the operations on other local business insurance lines. 
• Support the operations and supply chain in filing and collecting insurance claims with the broker and insurer.

Other/General

• Support Treasury related controls and audits 

Area of Expertise, Requirements

•    Advanced Excel skills (including macros) and power point.
•    Knowledge of Power BI is preferred
•    SAP experience is strongly preferred
•    Strong communication skills

Education & Work Experience

Education
•    Minimum Bachelor’s degree required, with a major in Business, Accounting, Finance or similar field.

Work Experience 
•    5 years of experience in finance, accounting or treasury role in a complex organization
•    Knowledge of banking and experience with treasury management systems, preferably SAP
•    Treasury experience in a multinational company is preferred
