Sales Support Manager, China

Basic Function

The purpose of the job is to take care of the Chinese Catalyst Sales (together with the Sales Manager China) to establish, maintain and increase customer satisfaction as the base for the profitable growth of Lyondellbasell’s catalyst business in China.

Roles & Responsibilities

•    Be responsible of Chinese Catalyst Sales in communications with customers; this position is primary customer interface to facilitate activities besides the order processing; answer customer questions, manage customer expectations and satisfaction.
•    Team up with Catalyst Customer Service in Asia and Europe to ensure the efficient processing and progressing of orders for China customers; this includes sales orders, processing, logistics services and payment. 
•    Collaborate with the Catalyst Logistics Team to bridge between customer requests, customer expectations and (logistic) order fulfillment. 
•    Responsibility for the planning of the Asian catalyst warehouses (in terms of stock management and replenishment).
•    Together with the Sales Manager China, be responsible for the coordination of the Chinese forecasts and sales plans.
•    Own a timely resolution of customer complaints and Quality Notifications (especially in categories Documentation, Delivery, and Packaging) actively engaging at the customer interface for relevant stages of the process.
•    Collaborate with the rest of the Chinese Catalyst team in the monitoring of catalyst competitor activities in China
•    Support customers in custom clearance and eventually Product Safety related issues

Min. Qualifications

Education: 
•    University (or equiv.) degree in business, chemical engineering (or other technical area)
Work Experience: 
•    At least 8 years in multinational industrial environment and at least 2 years of experience in commercial, sales, or marketing role in China.  
•    Work experience in a larger-sized international company.

•    Business sense – able to understand and evaluate business opportunities and risks to achieve operating targets.
•    High level of independency in daily activity, and in solving complex issues with customer requests.
•    Personal Drive – must be independent, self-starter, and reliable, with excellent ethics.
•    Negotiation skill – able to lead and conclude negotiations.

Languages: 
•    Fluency in Chinese both written and spoken
•    Good knowledge of English (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications

•    Good understanding of polyolefin market dynamics and competitive product environment.
•    Good understanding of logistic operations, warehouse management and L/C process. 
•    Understanding of the relevant technical issues related to the polyolefin market.
•    Computer skill – Microsoft Offices and basic SAP
