Position Summary
The purpose of the job is to support the implementation of BU’s overall commercial strategy and expand LyondellBasell APS Color/Masterbatch business in Packaging. This position will be focusing on new customer/new business development through driving innovation, building up and managing new business pipeline to improve market share and profitability in Packaging in line with the defined business strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Identify and define key target Brand Owners(BOs)/key target customers in target Product Market Combination(PMC), identify value chain and key converter of target BOs;
- Develop key BOs development strategy with sales team in terms of key programs, positioning of the product portfolio, as well as price management, also develop business development strategy on innovation.
- Identify and define key opportunities and innovations with the corresponding BOs and Converters based on a deep understanding of Rigid Packaging applications and requirements.
- Develop and manage the relationship with key stakeholders of BOs and target converters to drive business development, build an effective network with these key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with appropriate Account Managers, Business Managers, Product Development, Technical Service, Product and Supply Management, Customer Service to build target growth funnel and drive funnel to commercialization.
- Coordinates an follows-up all activities with the customer as to new opportunities, product information, offers, contracts negotiation and formulation, deliveries, after sales service, claims, in close cooperation with internal cross-function teams;
- Efficiently customer management plan and reports to extract more value for LyondellBasell. Analyses and reports changes and new developments in the market concerning competition, customers, new products and services, sales methods and promotions.
- Respects all policies and procedures of LYB and proactively “lives” them.
- To follow all company policy about product risk management. Work in collaboration with TS, Supply Chain in order to understand and avoid product risk. Follow directives and procedures from LYB Product Stewardship Team. Follow up claims in guidance with the policy for product risk management.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Education
- University Bachelor degree or above, Polymer/Chemical/Plastics Related preferred
Work Experience
- Minimum 5-year experience in Sales, Marketing or Business Management
- Experience and deep knowledge in Rigid Packaging, Color Masterbatch preferred
Languages
- Fluent in Mandarin (Chinese) & English for both speaking and writing
Other skills : Good commercial sense for working in multi-national company
