Digital Business Partner

Basic Function

The Business Partner is a business and technology savvy leader working to shape and influence business value generation for Digital Transformation opportunities. The Business Partner focuses on building strong working relationships with the functions in order to analyze current processes and tools for high value business opportunities. He or she anticipates business needs and proactively develops digital transformation opportunities for next generation value. The position requires significant interaction with stakeholders in the company, strategic aptitude, with strong analytic skills, and ability to effectively communicate and facilitate decisions.
This individual will partner with global cross-functional teams to develop and prioritize business segment roadmaps, short and long term project plans and identify technology trends.  The position interfaces frequently with business stakeholders, and will build and maintain relationships and interface regularly with strategic vendors.
The Business Partner also monitors customer satisfaction and facilitates improvement of the digital client experience on a continuous basis.  

Roles & Responsibilities

Specific areas of responsibility and influence include: 
•    Maintain/develop an in-depth understanding of the business functions/processes/tools supported, be viewed by the business as an advocate for them within Digital Transformation and provide the voice of Digital Transformation back to the business when developing Digital Transformation roadmap.
•    Works closely with digital and IT counterparts to explore value opportunities in existing business processes and deployed tools, analyze new opportunities and business readiness for digital technology improvements.
•    Stay current with digital technology and business trends and act as a consultant to both the business and digital/IT leadership by continuously scanning the current process and technology landscape for value opportunities, in addition to understanding the current and future technology trends.
•    Take the ownership of building and strengthening the relationships with business team within the supported areas. 
•    Collaborates locally and globally with stakeholders to drive digital/IT initiatives and projects especially in the area of D&A, mobile apps and customer excellence.  
•    Develop business cases, considering financial, resource, and technological constraints in consultation with business and digital/IT stakeholders.
•    Lead the project initiating activities including high level budget, resource and timeline planning for regional projects. Engage internal or external resources for the project execution as need.
•    Oversee and lead the delivery of enhancement and projects in the region. 
•    Working with colleagues across the Global  digital/IT organization to support value creation opportunities from both the current landscape and also from the digital transformation vision and roadmap.

Min. Qualifications

Leadership, Communication and Relationship

•    Business acumen, understand the drivers of organizational change and interdependencies among all the moving parts.

IT Savvy and Value Oriented
•    Value Oriented, understands technology is a tool with overriding goal of business success.
•    Understand available capabilities and services and work with supply to ensure business needs are met effectively and cost efficiently. 
•    More than an "order taker” they are demand shapers – stimulating, surfacing and shaping business demand.

Required experience, skills, professional attributes and qualities include the following:
•    At least 8 to 10 years of demonstrable digital transformation experience, preferably in the chemical manufacturing, oil and gas, digital transformation consulting or related area.
•    At least 6 years of business partnership experience supporting business and commercial leadership with increasing levels of responsibility.  
•    Experience in digital/software projects using Agile / Lean techniques and methodologies. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
•    Proven track record in successfully leading the implementation of digital projects in the areas of Advanced data analytics, mobile enablement, eCommerce and other digitalization platforms/solutions. 
•    Digital technical depth in Power BI, Power apps, Azure, DevOps and cloud platforms.
•    Exposure to and experience in supporting circularity business a differentiator.
•    Experience with ERP/SAP system will be a plus. 
EDUCATION:  
Bachelor's Degree in related discipline with specialized leadership training and/or demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities through previous experience and education.

This position conducts business in Asia Pacific areas/communities that have strong, unique ethnic/cultural traditions. Domestic and international travel of 5 % is anticipated.
