BASIC FUNCTION:

Develop and implement market, product and pricing strategies which create market value and capture the maximum potential in the colour masterbatch market segments across APAC region. Responsibility includes structuring and driving market and product portfolio optimization initiatives in close collaboration with the cross functional team in the regions and globally.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Pricing & Value Management
-    Define and enforce pricing strategy, guidelines, and governance
-    Lead value-based pricing initiatives across segments and applications
-    Approve pricing deviations and manage spot/formula pricing decisions
-    Optimize volume allocation vs supply constraints

 

Innovation, Project & Portfolio Pipeline Management
-    Own and drive project pipeline linked to portfolio strategy
-    Act as P&L gatekeeper in New Product Development (NPD) process
-    Identify and prioritize market-driven and technology-driven opportunities
-    Leverage global/regional success cases for replication in APAC

 

Core Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Execution 
-    Lead the APAC CPC core team (Sales, ADTS, Supply Chain, Procurement, Product Management)
-    Establish clear governance, meeting cadence, and decision-making framework
-    Drive alignment on pricing, portfolio, pipeline, and key projects
-    Resolve trade-offs across margin, volume, service level, and cost

 

Market Intelligence & Business Steering
-    Build and maintain deep market understanding (segments, competitors, supply-demand)
-    Conduct benchmarking, profitability analysis, and SWOT
-    Lead MBR/QBR and long-range planning, linking insights to actions

 

Commercial Excellence & Go-to-Market Execution
-    Drive execution of marketing programs and customer engagement strategies
-    Develop and deploy go-to-market tools (playbooks, product positioning, training)
-    Support key customer development and value-based selling approach

 

Technical & Product Excellence
-    Oversee product development, formulation, and quality performance
-    Support scale-up and manufacturing optimization
-    Provide technical guidance to resolve product and application issues

 

Raw Material, Supply & Cost Optimization with Procurement team/PAD 
-    Guide raw material strategy, supplier selection, and alternative sourcing
-    Drive cost optimization and supply flexibility initiatives

 

Team Leadership & Capability Development
-    Lead CPC business team on prioritization, performance, and capability building
-    Develop commercial, technical, and market expertise within the team
-    Drive Goal ZERO HSE culture

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Education:
•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 
•    Proficient in SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

 

Work Experience:
•    10+ years in marketing, sales, ADTS, or commercial roles 
•    Strong technical understanding of color masterbatch applications and raw materials

  • Negotiations skills (preparation, strengths &weakness analyses, customer support).
    Languages:
  • Fluent in English
  • One or more other Asian languages preferable, for example Mandarin
